She’s peeking her helmet head above soil this morning. I saw the loop last night before bedtime. I’ll be watching her today - first time I’ve seen a full helmet, Shirley’s shell was hanging off her.
So the LSD triplets are all very different. I’m still not sure if Betty is going to amount to anything, but she’s still getting tent space while she’s looking healthy.
I’ve got to get back up there and turn up the humidifier - should be at 70% RH during the day.
You know I can’t leave well enough alone, so I performed a delicate helmetectomy on Slowpoke. Those Tweezerman splinter tweezers are worth their weight in gold.
Her little helmet and how she looks now made me think of the Mario plants!
Betty might by little now, but could end up producing the most! You got this!
It’s funny how different all three of them are. Claudette is reaching for the edges of her cup already, and has easy to see second leaves. She’s finally getting to a nicer green color, she was SO pale.
Audrey is growing slowly. Claudette’s leaves are twice as long.
And Betty’s leaves are barely 1/4 inch long.
All the same strain. I’m getting three very different girls!
The gals in their final homes are ready for a real watering. Your coco is really light - good sign it’s time to water around the solo cup husks to rehydrate that coco. I water once a day or once every 2 days depending on how fast my room dries things up. You wanna keep the coco from totally drying up on the outer area of the pot or it’ll become hydrophobic and a bit harder to water (just like soil develops those channels where the water naturally flows down and big chunks of the root zone are missed in the watering process). They’re also big enough to handle a quart or more of good quality H2O.
I have been misting the coco outside the cups a bit every day, the pots are still moist down at “supersoil” level. I lifted them today and I told Claudette she was heavy!
Audrey’s gotten more water than the other two b/c she’s in the two gallon and dries much more quickly.
Now the new babies are in all coco/perlite, but their nursery bags are still obviously moist.
I’ll give the “outer pots” a bit of water from the watering can, that’ll help out.
I do feel that way about Recharge, so I’m sure I’ll be happy with this too. I’m really pleased with the companies who put out the samples. Xtreme took the cake with theirs, I’m going to put Azos in the planting holes and use the foliar calcium spray.
And I use my hard water in the humidifier - I know there’s calcium in there!
They looks good! Audrey has fatter leaves, I wonder if she’ll take after her Indica heritage a bit more. I dunno, but it keeps it (even more!) interesting.
Congrats on the setup and organization!
On Wednesday I trimmed/bottled, and yesterday I tidied up the grow area and prepped two grow bags with soil and Grow Dots. Feels good! I’ll start soaking the seeds today or tomorrow, two white widow autos I have in my little stock. After they get established, I’ll start a quasi grow journal, mainly for training help, so I’ll tag you and some other folks.
Just checked on the greenbabies. Claudette has grown visibly during the day! Her leaves stretch all the way across the cup. Audrey made some gains, and even Betty is looking - well, like a slightly larger Betty.
Slowpoke is poking along under her dome, but Shirley is taking off - she’s nearly the size of Audrey and is a week younger! Their tent is hanging right at 70 degrees, the big tent is at 77. RH looks really good in both - I’m keeping an eye on the VPD this time, as well as DLI.
That reminds me - time to shop for a better humidifier for the Lucy tent.
