FirstTimer1's 2nd Grow Journal

Oh I can’t agree more! I lay my Autos right over and unless I stuff something up, don’t get less than 4oz per plant, and my biggest yield so far was a White Widow with a nice 6.5oz

Hey Growers! I hope your summer is going great!
Please review my latest posts and see if you have any comments on:
1.) My two 9.5 week old White Widow CBD Auto’s regarding Harvest Time.
2.) Why my two ‘new’ plantings (from the ILGM CBD Collection (Kush, Critical Mass or White Widow) look so different color-wise. One is very deep dark green and healthy looking…the other is very light green and kinda sparse. Regarding the sparseness…I just brought the light closer as I realised it was pretty far away…so, I’ll see how that changes its ‘fullness’.

Thanks for your input!

Still looks like a lot of loose pistils to harvest. Different colors just indicate different plants that have different characteristics.

Hey buddy thanks for the tag. Just do your best to focus on the buds and not the leaves in your pics. The first two pics look like leaves to me and I’ve been told that the trichs ripen quicker on leaves than buds so you could get the impression that she’s ready well before she is. I’m not that good at using the jeweller’s loupe for pics (I use a cheap usb microscope off ebay) but from what I can see you have some nice bulbous trich heads there but still lots of clear, so IMO sit tight my friend and keep checking!

Hey @dbrn32 I haven’t heard of loose pistils before. Could you please explain some more? There’s probably something I’ve been overlooking lol

The pistils will recede when close to harvest time. Prior to this they are longer and more spread out.

Oh right! Thanks buddy :blue_heart:

First thing I see is ur getting some leaves n ur first couple pics, n ur new at using a jewelers loupe. They r a biatch to use, but u did get some good trichome porn. As for harvest, that’s all on u, seems different strokes for different folks. So I don’t like to comment on when to harvest, sorry. On the different colored leaves on different plants, u answered the question ur self, different plants. No two plants r alike, even the same strains will grow n look different, that’s just how it is. I will say @FirstTimer1 ur knocking it out of the park, pat ur self on the back, n give ur self an atta boy. U earned it.

@dbrn32 u got me confused here, r u talking about trichomes, r pistils? Pistils collect pollen from the surrounding air, trichomes r resin glands, if I’m not mistaken. Could u please clarify, because I think ur talking about trichs?

Nope, pistils as in little white hairs. They will recede early if pollinated, but also at end of life.

I’m not aware of any links that would be approved for posting here, but I bet you could find some using Google.

That is probably just my own left handed verbiage.

i harvested my two WW CBD Auto’s today- the two that I had to leave outside without attention…I have been able to salvage a few ounces, so not a loss:

But I am wondering again what this plant is? It’s from the CBD Auto mix of White Widow CBD, Kush CBD or Critical Mass CBD—dont know which. But, from the looks of this one…its definitly not a white widow CBD Auto. Do you think it might be the Kush or the Critical Mass? Never saw such yellow before…and it did grow slow without much vegetation…even though its in soil that has been great and is being fed nutrients…

My white widow CBD looks good:

Smoke was GREAT! Dried for 10 days then cured in Grove bags for 5 weeks. Smooth and smells great! Very body high, very nice, not much ‘head’ or ‘mood’ change…but it felt great, I’ve been smoking 2 or 3 bowls maybe 8 puffs now, and the body high is fairly short lasting - about 3 hours- no anxiety…just very mellow–I love it! Makes me sleep better, food tastes better, and sex is off the charts feel-good. The effect is well summed up as ‘its like my body is high/calmly energized, but not my mind.’
I love it and would recommend that strain- my first grow.
Now I am looking to grow the rest of my CBD seeds and then grow soime higher THC ‘Blue Dream Auto’. Then, I will mix the two together and see what that is like!

I’m happy that you are pleased with the smoke. There’s nothing like smoking your own weed!
