First White Widow closet grow

I agree with @Matthew420 light does seem to be a bit high👍

@Matthew420 @Countryboyjvd1971 both have great ideas. I might add this little tip. Try getting an intake fan inside the room so this will be constant fresh air coming into your grow room, then get a piece of 6" duct cut in on the ceiling of your grow room and into your attic, seal it up, attach carbon filter to the end of the 6" pipe and your done. Cheap and simple. It will naturally rise out because well, heat rises.

Hope I could be of help. I try to do things budget tight and simple :+1::call_me_hand: grow on and happy new year btw

Also throw a bunch of r12 or r32 or whatever type of insulation on your attic ceiling, it will prevent any change to your heat loss because of the hole in your house.

Dude I’d suggest you put your thermometer in the pot sitting in the middle of your grow. That way you get a more accurate reading of what your plants are feeling.

As for the WW smell, a carbon filter is the surest thing. Go do some heavy research on how to set up an inline fan and carbon filter in a grow room. Once you understand how the exhaust fan and carbon filter system works, you’ll have a better knowledge on how to improvise in your own set up.

Do not underestimate ventilation. Read up.

I am only renting this house and I dont think the landlord would approve of any construction :frowning2: & too chicken to ask… Im sure more questions along the lines of why I need it would soon follow (not to mention the eyebrow raises)!! I know there is an attic but Ive never been up there…guess now is a better time than any to go check it out huh :scream:

Oh and I have the LED about 3 feet from tops, what distance do you recommend for veg? Wanted to bring down some but scared of light burn @Countryboyjvd1971 @Matthew420

Did the light come with a manual? Normally it will say.

Mine was 36" to start moved down to 26" over 2 weeks. Now it’s at about 24"

This doesnt sound so bad, nothing that a good patch wouldnt fix after all is said and done. I dont care what it takes, anything for the girls!! Will be looking into setups… Thanks!!

I started with 2) 300 watt light led
I started at 36 inches and found that about 24 inches was where my girls liked it and I did ad a third 300 watt light for veg so I’d say start some where around 24 inches and see how your girl doif they stretch too much lower them if them don’t stretch at all raise them a bit
I actually started my light way to close and stunted my girls a little they had no reason to grow towards the light but realized it early and once I raised them my ladies perked up and stretched their legs a bit
I’m in prefliwer now and my lights are about 14" off the tops for flower I added 2) 400 watt lights on either end of my box
Hope this helps bud:sunglasses::+1::v:

Too chicken? Lmao! I get that with landlords.

If your closet doesn’t have some sort of window or vent leading outside, you can leave the door to the closet most of the time. You can also put a standing fan or whatever in front of the door way. The fan will suck in air from within your house and blow it into your closet hence promoting some kind of exchange in the air.

But you gatta keep a close eye on your Temps and RH.

I just read your reply, if your renting I would advise don’t put a hole in there lol. I’d suggest moving the grow near a window and get an attachment for your duct to exhaust out the window. The clamp your carbon filter “in-line” with your exhaust. So anything going outside will smell nothing like cannabis. Idk just an idea. Then damage to the house is prevented :+1::v:

I would have to agree with @AmnesiaHaze
On not doing anything to the house without permission from owner and the best thing to do is what he suggested with the window kit even if you need to build some sort of temp door setup in front of closet
You definitely want to have pans on floor to to prevent water damage
You don’t want to get sued later :+1:

Manuf recommended 1.2-2meter distance but I like what you did with testing different distances… The distance between nodes doesn’t seem to be too far but growth has stunted.

Im going to see how they do with 24’’ :ok_hand:

Update on grow… Not going so good  seeing the dreaded yellow leaves starting at the bottom

Thinking its N deficiency from what Ive read up on… Not sure about ph actually just got a ph meter on amazon… Until then… Only used FF BB every other other feeding and not even at full strength recommended dose… Ordered to take care of N deficiency…expecting within a day or so. Is this something you think will address the issue?

Anyway, good news about the topping, actually seeing the 2 new stalks emerging!!

Now the FIMed ones… not so much, just seeing the 1 main stalk as always… Plus the next node streched alot, thinking it just stunned their growth :disappointed_relieved: Im gonna leave thoes alone for now, dont wanna put too much stress on em.
Thanks for your help guys!
