First White Widow closet grow

Transplanted all the girls … geez it was stressful :disappointed_relieved: …the two twins were definitely entangled and I literally had to break their roots (It felt like their legs) to seperate and not to mention keeping the soil together…luckily they all seem to have recovered well and growing faster in their new homes. The 800W LED is all setup and Im also keeping humidity and temperature pretty steady!

Just a few questions, Im starting my 4th nodes, is this a good time to start my topping? Supposedly White Widow is okay to top and increase its yield??

Also the roots seems to be a little weak… even though I have been bending and keepin the fan a blowin?? Should I go ahead and put some support up for them?
Thanks for your continued help guys!

Just a friendly observation how high is your light I think you should probably lower it down some they look to be stretching that’s why your stocks are so thin

The lights are 3 ft away from the top of the plants. The Manuf recommended 1.2-2meter distance from plants. How close would you suggest? Would hate to light burn em :frowning: thanks!

Okay had to look at the leaves there not pointing up so try this instead of lowering light mound soil up main stem for support and a added benefit is roots will grow out the side of the stem that you bury id mound it up to about a inch from bottom set of leaves

I would wait till 5th node to top that will give the two you had to separate time for their roots to recover. Good choice on the lights the more you grow you’ll come to love LED’s. :cactus:

Looking good @Lo4Grow . One suggestion I would not let them water drops sit on your leaves they act like a magnifying glass an will burn your leaves :cactus:

Thanks for the tip, had no idea… I realize now “spraying the plant” is actually referring to it’s soil not it’s leaves  lol rookie mistake. This is why I LOVE ILGM  !!! Ran in there as fast as I could and wiped off water droplets, they are all dry and un-burnt thanks to you @tee3737

I do have another question for ya, do you think I should can pin/tie down the girls? I would love to get more light to the lower leaves/branches but when I try and bend the root to pin it basically goes outside of the pot. Should I upgrade my 1 gal to 5 gal

The led will give you anof light for lower leaves. As far as moving to a 5 gal pot l don’t grow in soil lets see if I can get @garrigan62 or @Majiktoker to help you there.

Hi. Been following your thread for sometime now. Your set up is now on point compared to what you started with. Investing in LED is the smartest choice you’ve made so far. It’ll go easy on your light bill and doesn’t affect your grow rooms temps that much. WW is a real good strain, good high and decent yielding plant. But you mustn’t underestimate 8 WW ladies. They’ll stink up your house real good.

Also make sure you’ve got enough vertical room in your tent. I’d scrog if I were you. But if you intend to grow all 8 plants in a tight space then you could veg them for a short period and flower them without doing much training (Sea Of Green). I really doubt your 2ftx3ft space can take all 8 plants though.

I gatta question for you though. Can you please explain how you raised your RH with a wet towel? We are in the middle of the dry season in west Africa, RH is as low as 20%. Its a major challenge for me right now.

Happy new year!

Thanks for stopping by and checking in on my grow, I’m loving every minute of the process… not just learning from mistakes but seeing the result of my TLC :baby: Your spot on about the LED, got my first light bill and although my girlfriend paid it, it wasn’t outrageous as I would have expected!! Not to mention the convenience of not having to deal with 6 light fixtures :ok_hand: AND I feel the one I got was a bang for the buck putting out a total 800W for the girls!!

UH-OH 8 WW=STINKY HOUSE?? I completely failed to put smell into consideration for my grow… Right now they are in a guest room closet, Its a 3 bed 2 bath house with garage and huge backyard however where I live, growing is illegal and my neighbor is a retired cop. NO WAY Im sticking them outside :oncoming_police_car: Is there any successful way to mask the smell?? I was thinking just plugging towels under the door (of closet & room closet is in) and closing all vents??

Also, I believe I have enough vertical room, I am not planning on them being very big: flowering when they hit around 3’ so hoping they will max height at or around 6’ which should fit …but now that I think about it they may get too wide, will overlapping leaves be a problem? I am planning on SCROG and will be setting it up when they get at around 1’ in height.

As far as humidity goes, I was able to soak an entire beach towel, and put it in grow room. Make sure to spread the towel out as much as possible to maximize surface area. The bigger the towel and the more spread out the higher humidity! Ive also come to realize the wetter the towel the better… You dont have to wet it as much over time. Keep the towel wet and humidity should stay high… I have to wet my towel every 3rd day, and by the 3rd day humidity has dropped to about 30% So I try to change it every other day. Oh and since Im growing in a closet with carpet Im using a pizza box with a garbage bag on it to place my towel in. Without it my carpet would probably get mold and cause some major damage to the ladies :scream: so make sure your towel is not soaking anything underneath and you should be fine!

BTW Im sooo excited to have spoken to someone halfway across the :earth_americas: :earth_africa: its amazing how we all can come together to unite as one people for one bud with happiness and Mary Jane for ALL :rainbow: :herb: :v:

P.s. heres some pics of the towel setup and grow room size

Thanks for your help @skinnieboi10

This is my ideal space

If they stretch any taller I can open the top up for them

Any way to get a vent in there? Thru the ceiling maybe? A carbon filter is your best bet. Sealing up the room will block off needed fresh air.

Look up charcoal filters on amazon and a inline fan
Do you have a attic above that closet ?

Also, what’s your distance from light to the top of the plant? Looks high but could be deceiving.
