First Week of Flower

The top of my soil is dry, but when i go down an inch it’s moist. The plant is considerably light compared to right after i water, should i go ahead and water again?

More info needed for best answer. How big is your pot? How often do you water right now? How much do you use when watering? How big is your plant? What type of container are you in? What type of soil? Using any nutes yet?

Cannabis can tolerate drier soil but do not like wet soil. I water to slight run off each time I water and wait for the soil to dry out. In mid to late veg, this is usually a gallon every 3 days but not on a schedule. That is just what it works out to be. Once I get into flower, in a 10 gallon pot, I have to run 2 gallons through and still wait 2-3 days to water again.

And a pic is worth more than a 1000 words.

Right now my plants are in 5 gallon pots, its been 4 days since i watered last the temperate stays about 75-78 degrees fahrenheit with 45% humidity, im in a fabric container, i am using nutes, and it takes around 1.5 gallons to get them to just barley drip from the bottom of the fabric pot.

In a 5 gallon fabric at 4 days since last watering using 1.5 gallons, I would say it is time to water again. All your numbers are spot on.

Is your girl healthy? No signs of distress?
Do you water slowly? Around the perimeter of your cloth pot?

This is my question. That soil should be moist completely so roots can fill in everywhere.

Very healthy. I would keep doing exactly what you have been doing. Very minor blemishes down low to be expected. Just starting to fade at the tips. Beautiful plants!!!

Last question: would you recommend some defoliation since I am starting flower?

I would. My pic above shows my training and the lollipopping I did to maximize upper growth. Rule of thumb is do a really good 21 day defol, let her repair all of that and do not cut on her for the next 3 weeks and then at day 42 of flower, do another defol to make sure she has plenty of airflow. I try to leave fans on for as long as possible if they are still green as they are her solar panels. Once they start fading if they are pretty much consumed, off with their heads.
