First timer needing help please

Please be gentle  I’m not yet educated on all the lingo! My Zkittlez auto sprouted Jan. 15th and after some grow light struggles and an accidental over water once I think we’re doing well?
Is she too skinny?
Is she supposed to have those white squiggly things already even though she’s just now putting out her first leaves with 5 points?
I’m not even sure what else to ask, does she look ok for where she’s supposed to be at and if so what is that?

@RebelRose It is a flower (bud) assuming you are growing auto’s

@RebelRose Welcome. Those white squiggly things are pistils, that’s good btw :joy: it means she’s gonna start flowering soon. What are u using as far as a set up? What kind of light? How strong is the light? What type of medium is it in? Soil? Coco? What are u using for nutrients? Are u already feeding her? I’m guessing this is an auto correct?

Yes it’s an autoflower, Thank you!

And yes, she’s too skinny. Lack of good light is my guess.

Oh goodness ok I use the pot 4 pot grow kit, the light is a 780nm full spectrum (I’ll be honest I don’t even fully know what that means/I’m learning new things every day with this!), I water it every 5-6 days and spray it with the neem oil/dish soap mix that the grow kit came with :woman_shrugging:t2:

That’s what I was afraid of! We’ve had awful unexpected cold weather where we are NOT a place that usually gets these temps on the regular.

Thank you!! How do I follow along?

Light, not temperature, is what I think your problem is. The distance between nodes, the places where the leaves spring out of the trunk, is significant. This happens when the plant is stretching for more and better light. At 6 weeks your plant should be a bush, not a stalk.

@RebelRose Yeah I would say ur gonna want a better light for sure. The TS1000 tent kit from Mars Hydro is what I’m growing in. It’s only a 150 watt LED light that comes in the kit, but I’ve been able to get some amazing results

For about $360 after all was said and done I’d say the tent kit is a great investment

I sprouted a northern lights auto 23 or so days ago and this is what it looks like. Your plant really needs more light. Unfortunately those little white things are pre-flower so you’ll be stuck with a somewhat small plant.

That’s beautiful! Yeah unfortunately we got screwed on the grow light. But now the weather is finally getting better so we’re getting her outside.

The weather’s doing really good right now so I’ve gotten her a spot outside during the day. At this point is there anything I can do for her?

Since it’s an auto, you don’t have to worry about light cycles. If the temperature is good during the day and not too cold at night you’re groovy.
