First time SCROGGINS

So I thought this was an autoflower. Turned out to be a Photoperiod. I had already FIM/LST in preparation of an auto but now that I know I decided to throw the net over it. Did I do ok?

This is (kind of) what you’re looking for. IMO the spacing of your net is too wide to properly spread plant. I use rectangular openings roughly 3 X 5", thread the plant into at least 90% of the cells before flipping. If the plant stretches a lot (like pictured), you can add a second screen if the plant can’t support itself.

I have also determined that there is very little (or no) difference between a SCROG’ed plant and one that was only supercropped and trained. Yields are basically the same.

Im still kinda new but ive finally got my head wrapped around the scrog. Several things you could do in my option to make it better, or if you leave it it will be fine too. Not necessarily a wrong way i dont guess. Different strokes for different folks lol.

One thing i see right off the bat that is gunna cause you problems later on, that trelis net aint riged enough to hold the branches down. I have the same one and it works really well for a secondary net to hold up colas later on haha. I did my first screen out of 3/16 hardwood dowels and the plant was still bending them it was pushing up so hard. Ridiculous how strong they are!!

Those cross pieces started out ziptied to the mainframe

If you look close that trelis net is in there somewhere. It tried to dissappear on me.

There aint nothing wrong with your set up man! There will always be things you can do to improve but every grow is different and every grower is different!!

Be more than happy to answer any questions that i can if you need me buddy!! Just holler

Thanks for the feedback. I took your advice on the net clips, I stretched them down and tapped all four corners to the poles. I’m not too concerned about the branches pushing upwards, before I thought about a net I had already LST with the clips that are still on the lower branches. As far as th net I made sure I crossed through the split branches to hold them down. Fingers crossed.

It’s looking pretty good, I will take some updated photos in the morning.
