First time growing - 7 weeks in. Feedback appreciated!

I see people that do grow outside use those cages basically as scrog screens which seems pretty slick to me

She looks spot on for my experiences with Autos. My average Flowering Day 1 is 43 days old and I count day one from looking like exactly what you have there.

Do yourself a favour, as you can afford it and grab yourself some basic tools. Ph meter should be number one. Cheap ones online for around $40 will get you out of trouble :ok_hand:

Get a good ph tester.Around 50 bucks. Believe me it makes a difference.

Sound advise (if a bit repetitive frigging stoners :joy::rofl:) above.

No worries. She’ll keep kicking pistils another week or so, then ull see calyx (buds) start to form under them. And its off to the races after that!

Id definitely go in and do some defoliation now. Looks kinda thick in there and could be a hinderance in flower

I’m new at this as well, but whatever you have been doing looks good to me LoL. I started my new “Magic Melon” Autoflower a few days ago. The first three seeds I messed up. This is the 4th out of 5 that I bought. Best of luck. Keep us posted.

@HMGRWN @PurpNGold74 Thank you for the advice! Being that I just flushed the soil about a day ago (to treat nitrogen toxicity and nute burn - can’t see in pics because I trimmed the burnt/curled tips off), should I start adding back in some flowering nutrients tomorrow? Today is day 50 for her.

Also - I’m scared I didn’t defoliate correctly. How does she look now? I hope I did not cut off any important leaves.

Do not see any problem with the trim job. She is pretty droopy though.
How close are your lights?
Others should chime in but it may just be mad at you for the trim. Should recover quickly if that is it.
After a flush, it could be hungry.

Lights are about 12-14 inches above top of her highest cola.

Her soil is pretty wet down to the bottom of the bucket and I’m still seeing just a few darker leaves. Maybe I’ll just feed some P&K, plus micro nuts. Leave out the Nitrogen.

Nah. She’ll need just a touch of N. As u saw not much at all.

If ur ppms are under 500… she could use a snack. But her soil is SOAKED. Id let her dry out a few days. That twisty growth looks like pH issues. U did flush with properly pH’d water correct?

I believe so! I used tap water, but the pH was about 6.5.

@PurpNGold74 @HMGRWN update: after an afternoon of drying a bit (I put a fan in the room to help), she’s looking perkier to me!!

First pic is the one I posted earlier. Second is from just a few minutes ago.

@HMGRWN @PurpNGold74 She’s either stubborn or I’m impatient. Probably both.

Looks like she’s getting more pistols on her crown, but still no buds. Should I move her younger sister (still on vegetative state) out of her grow tent?

Sorry - changed my username!

Hehehe. Yup ur impatient. She’s gonna bud up. Relax

@PurpNGold74 I’m just so excited! Haha!

As long as they are both getting enough light, there should be no problem keeping them together.

Those crowns will start to stretch, stack and start looking more like “buds”. Remember that buds you normally see have been cut from the stalk and trimmed already.

Ain’t we all.
Expect your plant vertical height to nearly double from here. Sometimes (often) they will “pause” at this stage then explode in upward growth.

You may want to find something to raise the smaller one to proper height and adjust your lights according to the flowering one.

@HMGRWN yeah, after reading your first response, I’m definitely going to take that recommendation. Ha! May need to get another tent or switch to a closet for the big girls height.

Thanks!!
