Just looking for some lighting help? Is a 1000 watt LED to much for a 2x2x4 tent? I am able to hold temps between 75 and 80. 81 being the highest and this happens while I’m at work.

FreeLicht LED Grow Light. Bought setup from my neighbor. I think he said he got the light from Amazon.
The good news is that it’s not too much light for your tent.

I highly doubt that light is anywhere close to 1000 watts. Amazon lights don’t put out what they advertise.

Thank you for your input. I really do appreciate it. Would this get me through a grow? My first grow started good but I over watered. My fault and leanerdlol. It’s holding good temps. and its full spectrum, wattage I know questionable. But do you think it would get me through one grow? Until I can get a better light.

That light consumes 100 watts not 1000. And yes for a 2x2 that light should do fine. I use hlg 100 watt lights for each 2x2 space, at the moment have three plants and each has its own light. You are good.

So is the lighting just proportional to the tent area given your example?
2x2=4 sf @ 100W
2.5x2.5=6.25 6.25/4x100=156W
3x3=9 sf = 9/4x100=225W
4x4=16 sf = 16/4x100=400W
Etc??

Not necessarily just works out these lights just have a 2x2 flowering footprint, but you can get a hlg 200 deiblo which 200 watt, or a hlg 135w all have advice for a 2x2 footprint. I use 100 watts and get fair results here’s my closet
Now days with new light technology it’s hard to use wattage but I am around 25w per square foot and that would be kinda low. I think most say 35 to 50 watts per square foot? @VirginiaGrowBoy

Like the above said. I would use it over 1 plant. Look into the HLG 135 or the 200. I have the HLG 135 watts and I use it for seedlings

Just for LOL I have that light for my grandsons venus fly trap. Got it because he likes orange he likes orange anything. Checked ppfd was 900 and dli of 60 at 14 inches above plant. Using photone. So I agree it will grow 1 plant. Oh that is at full power.

Is your light adjustable so you don’t fry the lil ones? I’d get the Photone app on your phone to see what the actual numbers are at full blast or whatever setting you currently have it on.

Yes it is adjustable just up and down. Heard about that app and I’m going to look Into it now.
