First time grower. How does this look. Any insight or suggestions

This is my first grow and I am about 7 days in from plotting the seedlings in soil. Wanted to get feedback.

I am running 18/6 light cycle and recently moved the light from 12 inches to about 4 inches away.

I am using mars hydro ts 3000 light but have it dimmed lower than the max.

Keeping the temp 75-85 degrees and just got a humidifier to keep the humidity between 70-85 because without it has been 40ish.

Watering every 2-3 days depending on if the soil feels dry

How do these look?

They look fine do you have drain holes in the bottom of the cups

The look healthy, I’m a bit concerned with the lights that close. Here’s a guide to using DLI to check how much light you need. At this stage, they should be around 10 - 15 DLI. Start using DLI

Also, one of the most important things I was told in my first grow is water to weight. I literally weighed my baby on a kitchen scale and only watered when she had used up nearly all of her water. Once I potted her, I got the feel of the weight after watering and knew when she was light and needed a drink.

Good luck in your first grow!

Your seedlings are looking good and healthy id would recommend moving your light up to about 2ft abouve the seedlings and set the light to around 30% power the light is way to close id also recommend putting holes in the bottom of your cup for drainage and just set them inside another cup to collect the drainage thirdly i would suggest ypu fill in some more soil in the cups with the gurls that are lengthy it will help them out sense they are stretching a bit and will give them added stability

My biggest concern as well.

And drainage holes! More drainage = more air. More air in the rootzone = more happy plants

Also looks like soil is too wet. At that stage, I literally give them 1-2 Tablespoons of water and don’t water near the stem. Water away so the root have to stretch to get the water.

I have a T-5 I use for seedlings. I only use one bulb and it is abut 18-24 inches from the top of the seedlings… even higher if I use more bulbs
