I just picked this bud off one of my small white widows (pot-grow rather than in the soil where my giants are), and it looks like it might be bud rot. If it is, can I leave the rest of the small plant alone?

It appears so. You can inspect the plant closely, opening buds as needed, and remove rot until there is only fresh green. Recommend a misting of 50/50 peroxide/water to prevent any mold from dead areas spreading.

I’m new to this forum and for the life of me, I can figure out how to post a question. so, I’m hoping you can help me on two issues. I’m trying to determine if my skittles plant has bud rot, can you offer an opinion? and how do I create a new post.

It was just that one bud, but I sprayed the whole plant as you advised. Thank you!

It appears to be rot also. Need to open up bud and look in the center good. Discard anything infected. Do as @Borderryan22 said and spray with 50/50 peroxide water mix.
