I got amnesia haze auto fem seeds from ILGM and blue dream auto and white widow auto a couple days ago. I germinated one of each and put them in 5 gallon fabric bag pots with a no nutrient seed starter and FFOF in the bottom half. They’re on a 20-4 light schedule with a 600w phizon LED in my 3’x2’x5’ grow tent. I have a 4inch fan blowing air in and a 4in fan blowing air out and a small clip on fan inside the tent. They’re all three starting to sprout. The blue dream has already started growing leaves, the AH just lost the shell husk and is popping out and the white widow is getting ready to sprout and lose the seed husk as well. With this being my first real grownwith legit seeds any and all help/ideas/ critiques are welcome and hopefully I can make this a good first grow!!

Make sure you don’t over water. It’s really better to start in solo cups, it’s easier for them to establish a root system
I thought autos didn’t like to be transplanted and it stunted their growth so it was better to put straight into final pot. I originally was gonna go with solo cups and then read that. But I’ve just been spraying a few times with spray bottle once or twice a day. Thanks for the input I appreciate it! I’m new to this so don’t wanna mess anything up or lose any plants
Should be fine. Water a circle around the seedling instead of at the base of the stem. You want the roots to reach for the water. A clear dome will help also. You don’t want the light to be to close to dry out or stunt the growth.
You got to it before I could lol. You may have left the dome off for pictures but if not it’s a really good idea. The leaves are the primary source of moisture until the tap root develops.
Do you know the actual wattage of your light? My guess is it’s 150 to 200 watts which may be marginal for good flower production with that many plants.
You can transplant autos without slowing them down. You just have to have a sure touch and time it right. You can also supercrop and train more aggressively. Again; dependent on having the right touch.
One of the things new growers learn to develop is an appreciation for what the plant is trying to tell you. Mastering that is the true essence of growing good cannabis IMO.

It has an actual wattage if 250 watts. Should I add another light? It also has a switch for veg and one for bloom but I run them both on to get the most out of the light
You aren’t far off where you need to be and yeah; run everything once your plants are in veg.
250 watts may be enough although the footprint might be your actual problem.
The QB 135 kit (3000K) for Horticultural lighting group is a nice light for a single 2x2 grow. If you a add this light and rotate/move around with your burple light you should be in pretty good shape for a 2x3 space. The Phizon is a half as efficient light as a 150W QB135 and adds quite a bit of heat.
My Phlizon doesn’t give off hardly any heat at all. It has two fans built in but that other light is way out of my price range. I might so go with another one just like the one I have. I’ll keep posting progress pics and weekly pics and updates so hopefully you guys can help me along the way and go on this journey with me!
Looks like it’s 108W at the wall. I can’t find the mMol/joule efficiency, but even under great circumstances only expect a max of ~100 g.
I also cut two water bottles in half and put them over the two seedlings that have sprouted and started leaves. Do I need to put any vent holes or anything in them?
They way they advertise those cheap China lights is so deceiving. Most have found them to be inadequate by themselves. If you recently purchased, could you send it back. We’ve all been there. I have a $150 paperweight also. Made the leap to QB and it was night and day!
My best friend grew one plant and didn’t want to anymore so he gave me all his stuff and testers and everything lol. That was from a bud growing site not the Phlizon site. I also have a 50watt cfl ballast reflector hood he gave me.
On the dome just knock off the moisture and lift it for fresh air every so often.
The light is the most important investment. (period!) Your buddy probably gave it up because of the sub-par results from the light. Of course the cfl’s will provide more light but again very inefficient. You will end up spending a lot on electricity and not getting much bang out of the Watts.
What would be the best thing to get under $100 or under $100 that I could run with the lights I have now?
To be completely blunt and to the point. No light you get(unless you find used) is going to be a “good” light. Maybe try to find something used. Or buy parts here and there. But throwing 100 dollars at a cheap light is almost throwing it away. Use that 100 dollars to buy a meanwell driver for whatever boards you pick out. Ask @dbrn32 and he will literally lay everything you need for the best price at your feet. Good luck ![]()

You could probably build a small light for around $100 if you’re frugal. Do you have access to any free aluminum plate or bar stock?
