First time grow question/concern?

Hey guys im new to the site and also to growing. I just have a question regarding my first grow, does the seedlings look good to you guys? Any deficiencies or this normal? Im growing 2 Zkittlez Autoflower strain at Day 7 in a 2.3x2.3 indoor grow tent. Currently in FFHP (top layer) and FFOF(Bottom layer) with some extra perlite in a 5 Gal. Temp is about 75-81f when lights are on and about 68-74f when lights are off(18-6 cycle). Humidity at about 65-75. LED light about 24in away. I am using tap water with ph about 7 but i bring it down to 6.4-6.5 and its less than 75ppm and i usually put a few cups of water out for 24+ hours before use. Soil Ph about 6.3.
I do think i over watered a bit in the beginning(maybe?) but idk what you guys think? Thanks for the help guys.

Ok thanks i will water them now and put a dome also. When watering is it just the soil or also spray mist on the plant?

Don’t spray the plant. But you can spray the inside of the dome

Thanks!! if i can’t get a dome or anything to cover the plant at the moment can i put up the humidity to atleast 80% to replace that feel till i can get a dome?

Sure that will work, but you can use just about anything. Ziplock bag, plastic container, clear cup, glass cup.

Welcome @Kevino0529 As @Covertgrower suggests, anything will work as a dome. I used a Poland Springs water bottle cut in half as my domes. Worked great!

Continued success. Keep us posted on your progress. :call_me_hand:t3:

Yeah I was thinking of using plastic 2 liter Sprite bottle lol Will that be ok to use ?

If it’s clear, it’ll work.

Hey quick question, should I keep the same humidity level 70-80 with the dome on or should I bring it down? And I also did notice that once I put the dome this morning the plant got a bit droopy? I did check the PH and it’s good. Is this normal? Sorry for the stupid questions lol

Wouldn’t hurt to keep the humidity higher all through veg. So when the domes do come off, it’ll be great.

They prepare for lights out, so depending on the time of day you checked, this is why.

Hey guys sorry to bother yall but this is how its looking after a couple days inside the dome and the temps around 69-78f and humidity around 65-80. My concern at the moment is the dome cause one of my plants to get hit by drops of water, I cleaned the dome before the lights go off the last couple nights but it still managed to get pretty wet inside the dome. Is there anything i can do to remove the Drops? will it hurt my plants? And how do you guys think the plants are looking?

Your seedlings look just fine…personally I don’t worry about the condensation that appears on the leaves while the dome is in place. Later when the dome comes off you don’t want water drops because the drops of water act as a magnifier and can burn the leaf. After the dome comes off there is much less likelihood of getting condensation on the leaves because the humidity will be much lower.

How about when its time to take it off and if leaves still has condensation/drops around it, Should i leave it or try wiping it it off to try to prevent that burn??? Thank you for the quick respond and the help!

When it is time to remove the dome, do it near lights “off” time. By the time the lights come back on the drops will be evaporated (most likely). Even if you take the dome off in the middle of the day, you will be fine so long as your lights are not too intense for the seedling.

The seedlings are a bit delicate so they should not be handled or disturbed unless it is urgent to do so.

Ok cool i do have just an LED Light at about 24 inches away from the plant so hopefully not, but once the domes come off i will make sure to do it close to the Off hours… When do you suggest taking the domes off?
