First off would like say I’ve been a long time follower and been trying to soak up as much as I can. Anyway started a bag seed back in may as I guess the best I can describe as a little thing to fiddle with and see how far I can take.
Started out in FFOF soil in a five gallon fabric pot. Fed weekly with fox farm big grow trio and half strength and slowly worked up to full strength. I definitely pushed it to the max about four weeks ago and sadly ended up with some slight nute burn. Maybe more than acceptable to most. Not really sure. As I said before. First grow outside and first grown in general in very long time.
I tried to keep soil ph between 6.5-7 and kept on top of liquid oh the best I could. Anyway I digress…
About four weeks ago burned her with nutes trying to push it I guess. As soon as I noticed burn I started flushing. I flushed for a good week then sledged two weeks in a row.
Yesterday I got my hands on build your own top dress. And purchased some terp tea. Gave it a half dose and a light dose of Fox farms.
It seemed to like it because when I got home from work it jumped a solid couple inches.
So I’m having trouble figuring out if it’s a female or it hermied on me. I believe I see pistils. I havent seen any sacks. Just was looking for assurance or definitely advice.
I didn’t take many pictures throughout but here’s a couple from today.

Google purple veins in Marijuana plants. Also tag:
If the plants are otherwise healthy, I don’t worry about purple stems on my outside grows. Other than genetics, a major cause behind discolored stems is strong light exposure.
Id say if it looks like anything they look a touch hungry now. Id def give them some food as everything is washed away. Looks good otherwise
@Das_Fonz welcome to the posting part of the forum . I’m sure you’ve seen many folks in here are here to help you through your grow.
I don’t see anything in your pics that looks like a male or hermit. I see pistols.
As far as purple leaf stems, I’ve seen it many of my plants due to genetics. As long as the plant looks healthy I keep rolling with it
@Das_Fonz will ya look at the purple in the stems of those fan leaves. that’s f@#^ing awesome.
Get ready that plant is about to take off
Nice job, nice looking plant.
I had no idea that was a thing. Thanks for the info!
It’s like they say in radio long time listener first time caller. Hahaha. Thank you for the feedback though. I’ll try and up the feeding regimen. I guess to every other water or that would turn into at least twice a week. Any advice there? The super hot weather seems to be giving me a break. It’s been in the mid to low 80s. So my watering schedule would drastically step back no? Versus the high 90s and blazing sun.
I’m assuming I’m starting to flower because the last couple days she really started to jump.
Anyway I Definitely left out a few things. It was topped when it had its first six nodes early in the grow. Between the fifth and sixth node. The two main colas look like single plants. Is it too late to top again? Or just let her be?
I also attempted super cropping. Not really sure if I was successful. I feel like I didn’t really accomplish much because where I tied the branch’s down they made a 90 degree turn and are straight up again. I’ll take some pictures and show you what I’m talking about. I definitely achieved some of the Nobs from cracking and bending the branches. I just don’t know because maybe I did too early it really has no effect on the plant as a whole?
I transplanted it into a 15 gallon pot. The root ball is so solid it’s unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s the first time using these fabric bags. I grew veg out of my raised beds for years successfully. Decided to mix it up this year. And seeing some of the size of the trees in the same pot on this site. I know I’m no where near full potential. Also did some low stress training by trying to tie it down. Have keep her low and out of view. I think that’s about it. I’m sure I think of more to run by you guys.
I’ll snap a couple pics in the morning before work. Thanks again and ahead of time. Lol.
When you bend them they will Immediately start to grow up again you can tie it down but the ends of the branches will turn up overnight. If it straightened out where you bent it you didn’t bend the stem enough. Pinch it hard with your fingers until you feel it crush then slowly bend it right where you crushed it and fold it over in the direction you want it to go. I take teflon tape and wrap it around the knuckle I just created up and down about an inch on either side of the knuckl. If I need to I take wire or string and support the branch at a 90 degree angle.
Now those are some trees….look at that trunk porn
#plumbdand so by super cropping early is it beneficial towards the end product? Is it something I should do again in the beginning of the flower stage? First time I attempted this. Thank you.
I super crop during veg to increase yield. I’ve had to do it in preflower because of height. I super cropped 6 branches on 3 plants in the last 2 days because they were hitting the ceiling of my greenhouses. They are in preflower and will streach quite a bit in the next few weeks. I once had to super crop a plants main branches 3 weeks into flower and it scared the crap out of me but it turned out good. I’m sure it increased my yield by quite a bit.
This one went from 10ft to 7ft although it probably won’t give me more bud than if I’d let it grow straight through the roof.
