I’m looking for some advise on setting up a grow room for winter grows and keeping mother plant alive as well as for cloning and germination. I would like to use an 8’ X 10’ shed and insulate it. Oh and ILGM Rocks. They are sending me new seeds to replace the ones that didn’t germinate, thus the reason for grow room. I wont have time start to finish outdoors before the weather and sun conditions change. @PurpNGold74.

Welcome to the forum, i am set to watching. You could also bury more of the stem in soil to combat that early stretch.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if that would cause the stem to rot later on.

Actually the buried part will sprout more roots also making it strong enough to support the new growth.

Now that’s what I’m talkin bout, that’s great info to know. I would have continued to try and hold it up some way. Thank Ya for that.Although I am gonna leave it alone. It has perked up dramatically from the transplant and has next set of leaves starting. I’ll take pics tomorrow. They prolly wouldn’t show up in a photo.

I also have a few high CBD low THC bud for CBD oil that I intend to make.

When its so hot you want to join your animals under the trailer.

Update, I lost one of the little gals to a cut worm last night. The importance of growing the first few weeks in a container large enough to sustain for said few weeks. i.e. the grow cups I see on other posts.

That being said. I started on a grow room yesterday and ordered HPS and T5 lights for starting seeds and growing during the winter. I am going to build it in my shed out of plywood, reflective mylar, exhaust vents and fans. I’ll post pics as I complete sections. Please send advise.

Collars work great for detering cutworms. I take a Styrofoam cup (usually 32 oz for me) cut it in half (horizontally) and put the top half around the plant and push slightly into soil.

Thanks for the advise @Growyourown . I’ll pick up some when I grab some cups for growing seedlings.

Cut worm protector. I couldn’t find the 32 oz. cup. This one is a 20 oz. cup. It worked last night.

Framed out the new grow room. I’ll put pics up tomorrow. Does anyone know and I’ll be looking it up but, should I try to kill all insects in the vicinity or allow for the beneficial insects to do their job? I prefer organic methods over chemicals.

Meh… id kill all. Then slowly invite the ones u prefer. Ive battled diff bugs. N when its bad enough everyone gets the ax. Even the ladybugs i kidnapped from outside… and now (the grows fairly sterile) when i see spiders i let them beachbum the property.

What do you use to Kill Em All?
