First Indoor Grow- I need help

Thank you!!

Looking good! @Zee I’ve got a question and hope it’s okay to ask on your thread for

@Hellraiser when would you recommend starting to take off the lower leaves? Mine are about 5-6 weeks old from sprouting I think…

@Bubbles, not at all! Still laughing at that gif you posted yesterday! and thank you!

I start taking off the lower leaves when they get in the way of watering, otherwise you’re going to get them wet and then they’ll start getting water spots and nute burns and such. By the time I get close to flowering, the bottom third of the plant is mostly cleaned up. Also any damaged, dead, diseased leaves got to go.

@Hellraiser, look what you did. I put up my new lights (600w) MH bulb on

and air cooled housing, put the Infinity 6" on top of the tent, get the exhaust going out the window…and then bam! Its working well, steady temp at 81 degrees, RH% at 31. Its peak of the day heat now, temps will drop from here. Am excited about the new lighting, and new page using your guide. Am assuming I will see big progress now!
Thanks so much!

Sweet! lack of light or coverage is no longer an issue, time to blast those girls with some sweet Metal Halide rays and they will grow like crazy.

@Hellraiser, Happy Sunday, hope you’re enjoying it. I have a little negative pressure in the tent, which is a good thing according to what you said in other post. However it’s really creating some air flow in the tent. Which is causing the whole plant to slightly vibrate, it’s looks Iike I have fans blowing directly on the girls. Is this going to cause any issues? I have adjusted the exhaust fan to as low as it can, while keeping the temp in the safe zone.

Forward thinking, am sure when we move to flower and add the Carbon filter, this while reduce the cpm.

Am still in the oddball tent 2’x4’x5, am sure if I move to the 3x3x7, this would also reduce the cpm.

Thanks for any feedback.

Hey Zee, a little extra air flow won’t be a problem, my plant’s leaves are always moving/vibrating, that’s what I like to see, can’t have too much fresh air. More air movement = more transpiration (plant using up water) = faster wet/dry cycles = faster growth. Yeah the carbon filter will slow it down a little and the extra air space in the 3x3 will make it less of a tornado as well.

I just wanted to pick your brain a bit @Hellraiser. Look at these healthy girls at day 26. Topped 3 days ago, trimmed the two leaves blocking the new branches in the middle of the plant. ā€œBranches are more important than leavesā€ stuck with me. This top node after our topping, is blocking a branch under each leaf, Part of me wants to cut it off too, any reason why we shouldn’t?

I’d cut them, she’ll grow more leaves. Very healthy, good growing!

@Zee Just found your grow! I’ll be watching and learning with you

@Schmokey we’re all in this to learn from each other! Am here to learn and grow, sounds like you are too!

Currently reading Hellraiser’s grow journal :exploding_head::exploding_head:.

@Hellraiser
Thank you… Sensei

Hey Schmokey, grow some weed with us.

Believe me. I’m trying. Just got to the transplant portion of your journal. I’ll be doing that soon. Matter of fact I’m about to go make some changes tonight

Couldn’t have said it better!

Taking off those top leaves made a big difference, those branches are loving the light and space.

Looking really good!

Wow @Zee looking really good!

@Hellraiser, I need to get a watering can, the days using an apple juice container are getting old
We use half gallon watering for each plant during the entire 3 gallon pots phase? How much watering per plant do we use when we go to 7 gallon?

Thxz in advance!
