When i checked the girls today i noticed a root coming out of the bottom so i transplanted the healthier one just now. I hope i didn’t kill her as it was a rough transplant. But i felt it needed to be done as i didn’t want the roots to fully grow through the slits at the bottom of the self watering pot it was in. My rationale behind it was how would i get the roots out of those slits when i needed to transplant later without ripping them out? Either way the deed has been done. Hopefully she pulls through!

The roots that come out of the drainage holes will air prune themselves. Same thing happens with cloth pots. It’s actually a good thing.
What’s on top of the soil?
i threw some cinnamon on there as i noticed some gnats in the soil
Its a common practice in plant care to root prune, so dont be afraid to damage a bit of root, happens all the time. What I would not do is get a whack of water all over my plant unless its required for pest control application or a specific foliar feeding program. Cannabis generally doesnt live long enough to require stomata cleaning. What is really a great practice is to put all of the soil or media you intend to transplant into on a tarp and spray it and mix it over and over until it is sorta damp feeling, to the point where if you squeeze it no water comes out kinda damp. This is called pre charging. It really helps the plant get to the new soil quickly and begin feeding. It also means you dont have to water the shit out of it after transplanting.
i misted the plant because while transplanting she got quite a bit of dirt on her and i wasn’t sure if it would harm her. i also got a little of the cinnamon on her so i was getting all that off of her i figured the easiest way was to spray/mist some water on her with a sprayer
No harm no foul, just be aware if you have gnat issues wet soil is one culprit. Water on outdoor plants in the morning isnt a bad thing but indoor lighting and water on leaves is kinda harsh, also ventilation being generally poorish leads to powdery midew issues. Just best to keep yer plants dry.
i didn’t water her after transplant besides the bath to get all the dirt off her. it’s lights out for them until 1030. i did the transplant right before lights out. should i have watered her?
When is a good time to start LST or topping? I’m in a small space so i don’t need them getting to large.
I can’t wait to see how Twisty turns out at the end of this story. 
@Breezy. I saw you talking on another post about topping, i would hold off on topping your plants a little longer. Let them establish more sets of leaves (i was recommended to let 6 sets of leaves grow then top it to the 3rd or 4th set depending on how big you want it. @Zee recommended following @Hellraiser grow guide.

Very slight nute burn. She’ll get used to the ocean forest and grow out of it.
Tuesday they will be a month old. Do you think they are small for this time frame? My iphone x is about an inch taller than she is. sorry i can’t upload photos once again.
This week there’s been quite a bit of growth!I also topped the healthier one today. Hopefully I did it correctly. Also hope moving the plants to another location doesn’t/wouldn’t stress them as i had to do this today as well. To late to go back now… I tried to upload some pics, but unfortunately the site doesn’t want me posting photos again as i’ve tried on both journals i started and i’ve tried with my iphone and laptop.
