It’s been a while, but I seen multiple posts here where memory had ph issues with ph perfect nutrients from AN. If you run into longer term issues with this I would start watching ph in and out closely.
That being said, one lower leaf showing an issue isn’t all that concerning.
Started using calmag yesterday, the plants look very lime green and hungry. Started using 1mL per 4L so trying out 1/4th the recommended dose to start. Ppm = 510 my water is normally 400ppm.
Thanks buddy! @GreggT its hard for me to understand when in veg they turn from seedlings to the next stage? And what ppfd, ph and ppm I should be using to maximize benefits for the plants.
Do you have any insight on that or resources to share?
After 6 or 7 nodes, I consider them to be in veg. As far as the other, all I do is pH my feeding. I don’t measure anything else. I let my plants tell me everything else. @lazyleaper342
Fyi team, ill be switching to RO water. This seems alot easier to deal with than my tap water. Ppms will be much lower and ill have more room for nutes and less salts! Less flushing and less hassle I am hoping lol.
Here are the little sharks going on their 7th week today.
@ChittyChittyBangin@GreggT@dbrn32
Will do! They are very dry today. Its been 2 days since last watering.
Time for a light 1/4 strength feed until runoff, 2L each plant.
Amount of water used 4L with nutrients:
(1mL per 4L) micro, grow, bloom, b52, voodoo juice, and calmag.
Solution IN:
6.17 ph and 140 ppm (RO water switching from TAP (1/4 strength))
OUT / Runoff:
plant#1 - 5.6 ph and 926 ppm
plant#2 - 5.6 ph and 770 ppm
Everything looking good. Letting them groooowww!
Runoff PH is a little low
Using 6.2 ph IN
Thanks everyone for your valuable input and helping me with my first grow!
If everything goes well from here within the next month or two I’ll have about 8-12 main colas on each plant!
I hope your grows continue to be successful as well!
Ive been learning more and more from this forum. This forum is amazing and so many helpful people here helping out beginner’s like myself. I greatly appreciate all the advice that has been given to me.
Ive mad a full recovery on both plants and got them healthy and thriving thanks to all of you and this forum!
Week 7 here of veg. Probably do 1-2 more weeks of veg then flip to flower. We will see how well they grow!
Ive topped and FIM’d a couple times now. Each plant should have about 12-16 colas!
Light distance is about 26" alot of smaller growth was showing signs of to much light intensity. I noticed this when the light was at 60% and closer than 24". Using sf2000 spider farmer light. Its actually amazing, very powerful.
Plant1 and plant2 full recovery. 6.1ph and around 500ppms.
I switched to RO water and using calmag, ph perfect micro, grow, bloom, voodoo juice, b-52, and bud candy for veg. Around 450-500ppms solution. Advanced Nutrients is very strong. I started off with 1/4 recommended strength and not working up to 1/2 recommended strength solution. The little sharks are about to thrive for the new 2 weeks. Once they are 2feet tall flipping to bloom.
Doing LST on them for the last 3 weeks. They are going to be some monster branchers! Haha so glad for all the help!
It looks like I’m getting there now lol. Switching to RO has made things much simpler. Not over feeding and needing to flush as often.
I’ve noticed my plants have “sunk” a bit in the promix and are not at the top of the grow bags. This is normal when you water the air pockets are filled in by water, then drain out.
Question is: should I top up my promix in the grow bags on top or leave it?
Any benefits?
I just discovered one small white bug crawling in my soil on one plant. It looks like root aphids to me. Maybe a baby.
I couldnt get a picture of it, I am using neem oil solution as a preventative last week. Now using it again today and i hope it’ll kill these suckers and any larvae that might be laid.
Im going to water plants with a mild neem solution and spray all surfaces of leaf. Doing this at lights off of course.
Any recommendations for me growmies?
I see others using mosqito bits but i cant find these anywhere in canada. Any others products to use? Plants are 8 weeks old in veg. Hoping to veg another month then flip.
Using autopots now, just switched these plants into them, haven’t even turned it on yet. Says 7 days to top water before turning system on.
I hate Neem oil. There are two products that do a fine job of ridding your grow space of pests: “Safer Caterpillar Killer” and “Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew”. Both utilize natural bacterial strains that are entirely lethal to bugs. Scent free and organic, you do want to do a bud wash at harvest in peroxide.
