When your plant is used to her new home, water by weight. Water to a slight runoff, pick up your pot. Get used to that weight. She will tell you when she is hungry. I don’t feed a certain amount.
Usually around a gallon or so per 3 gallon fabric when plants are in full swing. Less when they are smaller, depends on how dry pots get which will depend on how often I’m feeding and my environmental conditions.
If you water to a decent amount of runoff and then let dry out some before watering again should be good.
Update on the sharks.
Bith plants are healthy, as I get the environment more dialed in, they are finally thriving!
Plant1 - the top growth looks good, and the new bottom growth looks good.
Plant2 - new growth looks good. She is growing 3 main colas now, waiting to train her!
If anyone sees anything with the color of the plants that is more experienced please let me know. As far as I can tell they both are healthy now and recovered. Did half strength nutrients 2 days ago, probably going to water with ph6.0 later today, what do you think? @dbrn32 @ChittyChittyBangin @GreggT
They look fine to me. Something lighting displayed in picture isn’t all accurate though.
Looks nice and green and healthy!!
@GreggT @dbrn32
Good to hear, thanks for checking out the grow guys! Hopefully itll be smpoth sailing for thr rest of veg for me!
Originally ive been set back about 1 or 2 weeks of growth now. So still going to veg for 4 weeks and do a couple more toppings to make these girls bush out. Probably gp for about 6-8 tops each. The one already has 3 and the other is coming along after having troubles with ph and lockout.
Also going to LST the tops with clips!
Any tips on LST? I know to use the plyable branches and do it when they are flimsy and not woody or they could snap. I raised my light to try to get them stretching more since they are very compact.
If you’re going to keep topping I don’t think I would do much for training now. Maybe just start separating new tops after they grow out some.
Hey guys, this looks like a calcium deficiencies dont you think?
This was a lower leaf on the plant.
This is my first time getting this.
Using tap water, set out for 24 hours before used. Also PH to 6.2
Recently had to back off nutes because of nitrient lockout on one of the sharks. The other pne is cruising nicely without any.
Let me know your thoughts as this is my first time. Not using cal mag or anything.
Using the Advanced Nutrient line. Ph perfect grow, bloom, micro, b52, voodoo juice at half strength.
Ive been researching and this looks like it could be excess maganese or calcium deficiency.
@ChittyChittyBangin @dbrn32 @GreggT
From the picture above what does it look like to you?
Its on the bottom growth, so pointing more to calcium deficiency I think?
I would have to agree with your observation @lazyleaper342
Does this mean my nutirent line doesn’t have calcium in it? Im not using cal mag since i thought my water supply would have enough? Guess not. What do you suggest I do to remedy this?
Just watered them yesterday with pure water. Using a water, water, feed method. So my next watering will be with nutrients/feed in probably 3 days.
Do you think I should feed them with nutirents then wait and see if this goes away or is still showing up?
Accoeding to the chart it looks like it could be Calcium or Phosphorous.
U would supplement with cal mag… like @GreggT and you said, calcium deficit. Tap doesnt have enough calcium to supplement
Thanks alot for your expertise man, glad you chimed in here.
Im guessing the easiest way is to buy cal mag from AN? Is there anyrhing elae that would work?
I can go pickup the calmag before the next feeding. What do you guys recommend on how/when to use calmag, Ive heard different approaches and applications.
So fyi my next watering will be with nutrients. Is it okay to include calmag with the nutes?
Currently using for Veg:
- Ph perfect micro, grow, bloom at 1mL per L
- Voodoo juice 2mL per L
- B- 52 2mL per L
- Bud Candy 2mL per L
Adding Calmag since i need it. Not sure how much?
I would start with half the recommended dose
So what indications would I see, that benefit the plants when I start using calmag? @ChittyChittyBangin @GreggT @dbrn32
You wont be able to fix old damage, but watch your new growth. Your deficiencies show up in the lower leaves and will spread up if not corrected. You are making sure the deficiency doesnt show up in new growth.
You beat me to it @ChittyChittyBangin . Keep an eye on the new growth.
Okay, thanks for the tips guys. Its been a tough start and a steeper learning curve then I anticipated haha. I greatly appreciate your guys expertise!
This forum has amazing people on it and I am forever greatful for your help with my grow. As I gain experience grow, I will def pass this down to others.
No new growth has signs of this yet, so I’ll watch the new growth and see what happens.
I will grab the cal mag as soon as I can. I read the bottle and its from AN. It says it can be uses as a foilar spray, do you suggest I try that to remedy? It says thats a quick way for the plant to absorb it feom the leaves. Or is it best to just put it into the feed and water cycle?
No foliar. Just water in. Im gonna tag you in my journal…
