Ya they suck drainage wize , I drilled 15 holes in each plastic pot and they’ll be going into 3 gallon fabric pots as soon as they dry back a smidge and my great white shows up
It’s not lost on me that theyre overwatered I’m freaking rn tbh , I read something about coco and well I overwatered to force run off when my gut said don’t lol , you think they’ll be alright as long as I give em a good dry back?
Coco
lord help us with auto correct
1 of the banana phenos went straight from 3-7 blades, never seen that
Drought to dry in the coco loco, treat it like soil…straight coco you want to keep moist all the time and treat like hydro. You’ll be good ![]()
Center front plant, you can only see a tiny bit of 1 of the blades but if you look super close there are actually 2 blades hidden by the larger ones , I checked the other phenos and they both produced 5 blades at the same node , interesting
Cool that’s what I was doing originally, I went by weight loss and watered when the first couple inches felt relatively dry , I changed it up after psyching myself out over the coco aspect lol I’ll run a dry back and continue as I was lol thanks again I keep getting consistent information about the medium which is comforting,
Oh kind of a fun fact, the smallest banana blaze pheno ( 2nd smallest plant) actually came up with only 1 cotyledon , it’s been interesting seeing how much that tiny little nutrient plant of a missing cotyledon effects the growth, I’m actually quite surprised I fully expected more issues
Hell ya, I’m definitely game for letting the weirdos have EVERY OPPORTUNITY to thrive, that’s where cool stuff is found sometimes, I have this little runt , a freebie, black phoenix, terrible seed , sprouted, got the same treatment as the rest but just never took off, it looks like a 5 day old but has 3 nodes, she’s a little stick figure but she’s trying so I’m letting her try
who knows maybe she’ll make 1 fantastic bud
Here’s the 70s indica seedling I rescued from being root bound , overwatered, and suffering a base injury, I potted it in the pot here with coco loco and buried it up to the cotyledons, I didn’t wrap anything on the break I just let the medium support it and hoped lol, then I mixed up a nutrient solution around 300 ppm with a well rounded spectrum and fed about 100 mls of that around the root zone, then I saturated the new medium and honestly fully expected it to die, but here it is, certainly stressed all to hell but still chugging lol strong efin seed from the 70s huh?
Nice job man I know from experience they don’t grow quite as easy
You guys rock
Welcome to the forum and that’s a great start beautiful little ladies.
Moved your other thread here: please refrain from opening multiple posts on the same subject.
So I understand, what would constitute an appropriately new subject?
In general it’s better for both yourself and others (to follow) if you you open a grow journal and post everything to that. It makes finding something you posted much easier. Posting a funny, opening a discussion on, say, seeds or nutrients for general questions etc. would be something that you may want to open a new topic on.
I’ve been on here around ten years and have one sequential grow journal in four parts (or is it five?) with links to the next for example. Many many forum members do similar.
I understand
First topping attempt, the 2 on the left topped 4 days ago got 10 nearly even nodes in total 6 on 1 possibly 4 on the other
This is the first time I’ve ever tried topping, how do you guys think I did? Thd 2 on the left are 4 days topped the 2 on the right we’re not topped until this am I did the 3rd and the short diesel strain I may leave as is it’s so tight on its own it may not need topping, I topped at the 5th nodes I believe and I got 4 even mains on the back plant and 6 even mains on the front, no shock , no wilting, and I’m using lst ( tucking ) to maximize effect , I’m super happy for just 3 weeks but please let me know if I could do better
