First grow, how am I doing professor(s)?

Hello all, I am over a month into my first grow, largest being 41 days, middle is 36, youngest being 34.
I have almost no clue what I’m doing, but I think I’m doing pretty good so far. I’m on a budget setup, with the largest extravagance I have being an SF1000. My 2x2 tent is made of cardboard and foil (seriously who has $200 to spend on one of those things anymore). The added bonus is I can deconstruct it and make it larger as I need it. Plants do have a humidifier and airflow, but they are outside the box. Right now, RH falls anywhere from 65% to 70%, and humidity ranges from 67° F to 73° F. They are in 3.5 gallon buckets I drilled drain holes into, except for the one in front whose due for a repot any day now. They’re in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and should still have enough nutes in the soil to carry them for another week or two before they’re due for Grow Big nutes. I have a shitty pH pen I need to upgrade and a standard TDS meter, pH was off in the beginning but is corrected now. Is there any advice anyone can give me that could make my plants better, or can anyone see anything I might have missed? Some advice from people who know what they’re doing with benefit them greatly. Thanks in advance y’all :metal:

Middle, 36. Was broken at first, which slowed growth, but she healed well

Youngest, 34 days

Plants are looking good. Do you plan on moving these outdoors?

I do not, even though I have my licensing and everything I do live in view of a school and don’t want any teachers to complain or any students to get any ideas LOL. I do plan to buy another SF1000 as soon as I can, and I’m also figuring out ways to attach a SCROG to the box for better airflow.

Do you have drainage holes in the bottom of your pots? If not youre going to have tons of problems

Suggest better lighting, particularly if you intend to grow multiple plants at one. The SF1000 is barely enough to flower 1 plant. You need about 200 watts of quality lighting (Samsung LM301 diodes) to flower each plant. The SF1000 is a 100 watt light.

A 2x2 is large enough to flower 1 plant. 2 is pushing it and 3 is just not possible. Are these autos?

I wonder how a SCROG net improves air flow?

As I’ve said, I can make my grow box larger as the plants demand, and I plan on buying more as the plants demand, I just don’t have the funds available at the current moment to get them

By holding up branches and dispersing the density of growth? Even I know that

Yes, the pots have drain holes

This does nothing for proper airflow in a grow. Proper defoliation is the only way to control this along with oscilating fans. You can scrog all you want. If youre not lolipopping and defoliating as needed then even the fans wont help much.

You can make a sf1000 work if that’s what you have available, Spider farmer uses lm301 diodes im not sure if they have switched to H yet or if they are still B but that doesn’t matter… the harder you push cannabis the more ideal the everything needs to be, the weakest link with always show it’s ugly head and I never recommend that to beginners. Are these autos or photos??
I would try to raise temps if possible and come up with a way to lower humidity while in flower, your humidity is fine now but will need to be lowered soon. You will need a fan for air circulation.
Welcome to the community, a lot of great people here!!

Sorry for the typos, trying to multitask.
I just don’t want to see newcomers get discouraged thinking they need thousands of dollars in equipment to grow cannabis for the first time.
The equipment doesn’t make you the pro.
That’s like me thinking I’m gonna beat Tiger Woods because he’s got a Walmart set of clubs.
This is a great way to get your feet wet and learn and produce for yourself.

I ran my indoor grow for several years with a homemade box constructed out of 1" Styrofoam. You can buy a 4 X 8 sheet of it from H.D. for under $20 and put it together with sprinkler system staples and duct tape. In strategic areas the box was reinforced with some 2 X 2’s.

Light is the most expensive and important component of any indoor grow. As stated you need adequate light to properly flower out your plants. I grow photoperiod plants and normally harvest between 10 and 14 dry ounces of primo flower per plant with 200 watts of quality light per plant.

In fact, my current grow ‘room’ is 2 X 4’s and Styrofoam.

@Myfriendis410 beautiful set up!

Looks great, no stretch nice an healthy

Lol, good to know I’m not the only one who didn’t spring for the tent. Honestly, I feel like you can get more benefits from making a tent than just buying one, as long as you know what you’re doing

Not to beat a dead horse but this took some looking through some pictures…
this is a client that had some questions, he was using a 135w light to grow 4 plants.
I explained the benefits of using a bigger light and some reflective materials. I explained the nitrogen toxicity he was experiencing.
At the end of the day he was happy. I can’t knock someone who is happy with what they do. Was the buds airy and leafy, sure. But he was happy and it helped his medical conditions, I can’t argue with that… I have more clients photos if you’re interested I don’t want to flood your post

Please, please send me everything!!! Anything at all will help, I just need to absorb as much information as possible so I can feel confident about this and not end up having a panic attack or something lol. Also the seeds are actually random, one is from a dispensary bud (Wedding Cake?) and the other two smaller plants are from a some street weed that the dealer said was Boston Runtz. I don’t remember how the dispensary bud smoked, but the “Boston Runtz” was awesome, so I’m excited for that. I’m hoping for females, but they’re taking their time to show their sex

No need to stress it, feel confident!
