Hey everyone.
This is my first tent and my first grow. I set this up based on some friends recommendations and other online videos. Let me what how I can make it better!
Specs
24in x 48in x 60in tent
1000w COBB philzon light
4in carbon filter intake with fan
4in fan booster outtake with carbon filter
6in fan (getting another this week)
Mericle grow soil (repotting with fox farms this week)
Got a 2nd 24in x 48in x 60in tent (not set up yet)
Similar fan/filtration setup
300w led light
Going to do 3 in the 1000w and 2 in the 300w
What else can I do for perfect conditions?

Looks like you have already addressed the main issue. Which is the MG soil. You didn’t indicate which FF soil you are going to use. If it’s OF you need to be aware that it is hot soil. Many growers don’t use it for that reason. I use it mixed with FF Coco Loco and have had good results. My last grow I veged for 6 weeks and didn’t have to add nutrients, with the exception of cal mag until I started Flower. You also need to be aware that with a 60" tent you are going to be limited on height when you take into account that your lights will use some of that space. You may be aware that when plants go into flower they will stretch and gain a considerable amount of height. So you should start thinking about doing some LST. It’s hard to tell by pics but it looks like your tent is in a garage or some sort of outbuilding. If that’s the case then you may have issues with heat or cold depending on where you live. Environmental issues can affect your plants ability to thrive. If your temps get to hot it can lead to a whole host of problems. The last thing is lights. The main reason I’m bringing up lights is you said you want to create the perfect conditions for your grow. The 1000w philzon light will grow decent cannabis, clearly judging by your pics they are doing well. The one thing that new growers aren’t aware of, myself included, is many lights sold for indoor growing are deceptive in how they are marketed. Your light appears to be 1000w. It’s not, it only pulls 245w from the wall. Many times when you get to harvest your girls will look great and your buds will be potent the problem will be the buds will not have any density and will be light and fluffy. This happened to me and many others on forum. Hopefully the things I talked about is helpful in you being able to grow great weed. There are a lot of good people here and a wealth of experienced growers that will give great advice and guide you to reaching whatever goals you have.

You’ll be fine up potting them into ocean Forrest. It can cause issues with seedlings but you are way past that stage.
As stated your lights are marginal. One of those lights will grow a plant to harvest but you may not get the full potential of what the plant could produce using better quality lights that will produce denser buds which equates to more weight etc. that light isn’t enough to cover 3 plants except during the seedlings to later vegetative stages. Once in flower it won’t be able to adequately cover that space with what flowering needs.
If you haven’t bought the other light yet consider alternatives

Many growers use it FOR that reason…just not used for seedlings is all

Are your plants thirsty?
They kinda seem droopy.
I use the same size tent for flower. Works great. You will probably want to add more light, I agree with the others.

Your right should have said “some” growers. It’s why I use it.

What sort of light should I get for my flowering tent?
I have the phlizon set right now but I can add my 300w led light. It’s a cheap one that came with the tent but at least it would increase coverage.
I’m fine with investing more but Don’t want to go overboard. Getting tight buds is my goal so I want to be set up for it.

That light you currently are running only puts out 245 watts. My first suggestion would be a 260 rspec from HLG in 3,000K. This would do a fine job of flowering out your space

Are they hard to put together?
And I’ll be watering my plants this evening.

Really not difficult at all. There’s YouTube videos and people here that could walk you through it. @dbrn32 is the main guy. But there are many others that will help if you need it.
These lights will definitely help achieve that goal.

Id put a few wraps of tape on the intake to the carbon filter. Sometimes that type of duct will have small leaks rite at the joint. Joints inside tent not so critical.

Wow! That is impressive! Time to order one!
and it looks like the XL is better because you can add an extra light board? It’s only $20 more so that seems like the one to go with.
And if the HLG is 260 watts from the wall and my philzon is 245, why is the HLG so much better? Is it because it’s got more Lights on it? Or just a better spectrum?

The 245 you have is before it runs the fans and circuts, prob less than 200 getting to the plants plus the type of LEDs are 2nd or 3rd quality. Also a lot more efficient. Others can give you more details for me I just look at my jars and I be glad I listened.

If you use a screw driver you can put 90% of it together, the rest would need a small wrench.

I would get the 260 xl’s personally if it were me. I have 3 of them and love them, so did my plants in my 5x5. I just swapped out for an 8x8 and have the 3- 260’s and 2- 550’s. Still a little shy on wattage, considering another 260 xl. If you were to add an extra board to the xl you would need another driver I believe. Like @Bubblehead said, a piece of cake to assemble

Make sure you grab a dehumidifier for your flower tent. Wouldn’t want to get powdery mildew on your buds. You also going to need some 5 gallon buckets to stand your water in (dechlorinate) for 24 hours. Also get some flower nutrients for your flower stage.

Which one do you recommend? It’s raining today and I’m seeing the humidity spike.
Also I read to keep humidity at 60%-80% in veg and around 50% in flower. Is that true?
Given amazon takes a week to get most items delivered I’m try to get ahead of the curve. My 2nd ventilation system is coming this week so I’ll get tent 2 setup. Ordering the light today so I can build it this weekend.
Thanks again for the help!

I have a similar setup and about done pre-planning . What strains did you choose to start with?
