First Grow Have a look

Outside grow. I started from seed. I have watered and fed, trimmed off yellow leaves and checked the PH religiously. I think those are buds starting. Thanks for looking.

Looks good, your gonna have a nice crop.

Nice! The close ups look a lot like mine but I tied down the bottom branches so my overall plant is more round. Also a first timer and am learning much being on this forum.

Something to consider, I had my photoperiod plants on my deck up until they started flowering. I was concerned that light from the interior of the house might effect the flowering. I moved them.

I think about that all the time. I haven’t done anything about it but I think about it. We are pretty early to bed and there is no light from neighbors so I am going to ignore it and hope for the best. I am on the west coast of Mich but centrally located. We may be close to one another. Are you growing outside now?

I’m in mount pleasant.

Now that’s it’s legal I’m growing outdoors for the first time. Long time indoors grower. I really like growing outdoors, the plants do so well compared to growing under lights.

Just finishing up my second autoflower grow of the summer. It’s nice getting in an outdoor grow or two early in the season so you have something to hold you over until the end of October. I have five photoperiods growing outdoors, and one indoors. Also am experimenting with AutoPots and have three more autoflowers that will finish outdoors with the rest in October.

Excellent looking grow you got there!

I also think that that the growing outdoors is great fun. The sun is free and better than any light or lights you can buy. I started my plants indoor from seed and then put them out on June 1. I had to take them inside twice because of storms. I use fabric buckets and I really like them. The seven gallon size is perfect. I am growing Super Skunk, Amnezia Haze and OG Kush. What are you growing?

First I bought a ILGM mix pack that includes Girl Scout Cookie Extreme, Cherry Pie and Candy Kush. Wasn’t able to get the candy Kush to sprout so I still haven’t grown it yet.

First autoflower attempt was with the ILGM autoflower mix that includes Amnesia Haze, Northern Lights, and Blueberry.

when I bought the autoflower mix a pop up window offering Goldleaf came up so I bought those.

That’s it so far. Waiting for sale on LA Confidential because it is suppose to be good for some of the aches and pains I experience, and Critical Mass which has high THC and CBD

Previous to finding seeds online I would keep a perpetual grow going indoors. One unknown type year after year.

Funny, you should talk about indoor grow. I am sitting at the table this morning sketching my indoor cubicle now. Wife is OK with it which is surprising. I bought a really nice light last winter before I started indoors and I plan on getting another and growing a couple different plants indoors over the winter. When the laws passed a couple years ago I never knew how much fun I would have growing. You don’t have to worry about the law coming down on you and it becomes a fun hobby instead of a sentenced offense.

Hey there, so I’ve been kind of stressing out over one of my plants. Currently I have one BlackBerry Kush and one White Rhino. They are both feminized autoflowers. The BlackBerry Kush is roughly a foot and a half tall and is covered in pistols (that started a week and a half ago) but the White Rhino is very bushy but has no pistols at all and smells a lot stronger. I have them on a 16/8 light cycle and they are both exactly 5 weeks old today. I have no idea what to do about the White Rhino because the BlackBerry is ready to go to a 12/12 for flowering. I’m worried if the Rhino is either a dud, herm, male, or just taking much longer for some reason. They are both looking great but again no pistols with the Rhino. Is there something I can do to make it create pistols? If I flip the light cycle to 12/12 will it force the Rhino to create pistols? I would really like some advice because this is stressing me out. I’ll post a picture of each. Thank you.

Nothing to worry about, they are just doing their own thing. Since they are both Autoflowers there is no need to change your light cycle. The only downside is different feeding schedules.

Autoflowers don’t care what the light cycle is. You can grow them 20/4, 12/12, or even a mix where 8 on, 4 off, and repeat.

The fact that the white Rhino is taller and bushier and taking longer to flower will probably be rewarded in the end with a bigger harvest.

Thank you very much, the BlackBerry is the one that is taller though but not as bushy. What should the feeding cycle be now for each and how close should I keep my lights? I have LED lights on either side too, should I stop using them? And I also have a blue halogen light going too. Should I stop using that? Will the BlackBerry start budding anyway regardless of the light cycle? Thank you again!

Very nice! My first time grow is also a deck plant (plus 4 in the wild). Seed came out of a medicinal nugget. Soil is from a 20 year old garden, no fertilizer or pesticides (wife is an organic freak), sitting on a deck in Michigan, sprouted May 1st. Pinched the top once on July 4th (to keep things discreet). It’s now into it’s 3rd week of flower. Should I expect another 3-4 to harvest? Maybe longer?

Like most here, we look at harvesting mid to late October. Hopefully before first freeze.

At this point in the grow they need as much light as they can get (within reason). If you used these lights up to now there is no reason not to continue to use them, even the blue spectrum light.

For people who have Bloom/grow switches on their lights, the instructions should be one switch for grow, both switches for flower.

Autos that get stressed a lot will flower quickly. This does not at all mean you switch to 12/12 because you have pistols showing. That’s a photoperiod plant schedule, even then when outside a Pp plant starts showing pistols way before 12/12 or the equinox and is still vegging as much as it can. For autos, if you can afford it or you have low powered lights you can run 20/4 and all it will do is keep flowering more but veg less. The problem lies with your plants nutrient intake. Lean your Ph down and flowering is great and veg not so much. Lean your Ph up and veg does well but flowering not so much. Flowering veg- growing buds, is a balance that I am only just learning now on indoor grows and this page has filled in some blanks I didn’t understand before.
