Crude but effective!
@PurpNGold74 im as green as they come at growing! All new to me! Dumb question coming!! Lol! Is this possibly a bug that crawls or flys?? I was thinking about a bug zapper but most have that purple fluorescent uv light. That light isnt good when its night time for them, correct?
Thats a question above my paygrade. @dbrn32 would a bugzapper light count as interrupting the night cycle?
Not a bad one at all! I have no idea lol.
It will work 4 sure. Ima wait 4 Db 2 answer u im curious
@THC73 the fact your shared this says one thing, this guy/gal is serious about the grow!!! Bravo. I watched that the day is was released. He vastly changes position on how much light at night is ok for cannabis based on an earlier video where he states “even the blinking red light of a security camera is enough” to disrupt the dark period. I was completely amazed when he suggested as a rule of thumb that if you can read the big print in a children’s book, then there is too much light for the dark cycle. Don’t know about anyone else, but an occasional blinking red light isn’t even close to what he suggests now, the full moon doesn’t send cannabis back into veg or cause a hermie. Anyone who has grown outdoors knows this. I was so happy because I completely disagreed with the security camera blinking red light idea. My first thought was the moon!!! Glad he is presenting research to explain how much is too much light at night based on how bright the moon can get… Well done sir!
If you are needing a dark period for flowering this is correct. For vegging plants wouldn’t matter, as you can easily run them on 24 hours light. Just a matter of what you want to do.
