I’ve been wanting to do this for about 30 years. Finally got around to it. I got a 5x5 a/c infinity tent with t-6 inline and a growers choice roi-e720 led . My seeds sprouted about a week - 10 days ago. I’m reading all kinds of stuff telling me do this and do that and it’s all quite confusing. Got a co2 tank with controller. Not hooked up yet. Master controller for my light currently set at 30 percent and approx 2 feet away from top of seedlings. I read that with led lights you want to keep it between 75-85 degrees. Am I doing this right? Any suggestions? I get my par meter tomorrow. Are these looking about right for a week -10 days ish?

Great thanks. Expensive. I originally wanted to spend about a grand. Light itself was that and I’m about 3k in now. But Im the type of I’m going to spend I might as well go big or go home. I’m great with plants but never really started from seed so I’m a little worried. I just hope to have a halfway successful first grow and I’ll be happy. Will only get better after that. I was the same way with shrooms though and they came out very nice. But thanks , if you think my sprouts are good , then I’m good with that and will relax a bit.

They look great, and you’re definitely doing it right. I’ll probably get contradicted here, but you could probably save the expense of co2, but I’ve never used it, so I can’t say from experience. I’ve grown some nice plants indoors without it.

I am with Dex, a normal soil grow doesn’t need Co2. You need to regulate your light to meet the Co2 you are introducing and it needs to be powerful enough to allow your plant to absorb the Co2 and nutrients you are giving them. If you light is not sufficient and you do have a sealed environment then your plants will die from too much Co2 and not enough light for photosynthesis.

I don’t have it hooked up yet. I’m in a small apartment and just me being here my controller reads between 600-900 which from what I understand is more than enough especially for seedling stage. I will be using it for when I’m not here in later veg and flower stage to try and keep 1200-1500 ppm. Especially when I move into my 2 bedroom apartment in near future.
I just raised from 25 to 30 per ent light and put it under a shoe box cause my stems seemed a little on the thin side. Added a little bit more dirt. Hopefully that will help. And I use a small garden sprayer just to keep my soul moist.
It’s currently in half sohum soil and half happy frog. Have foxfarm dirty dozen that I don’t plan on using till later veg stage.
Hopefully that sounds about correct to you since you stated you have some grows under your belt?
Oh and my par meter should be delivered tomorrow. Any idea the ppf seedlings should be at?

I’ve got the growers choice roi-e720. Very powerful , I only have it 30 percent for now. Will probably never be able to use it’s full potential in a 5x5 even with co2 from what I understand. At least that’s what I’ve been told by several different people this far

Have no idea on ppf for seedlings. I use water for 24, then a papertowel in a ziploc for another 12 to get them to pop. Once the tail pops, I plant it in FF Happy Frog and place it in the super sprouter that I see you have. I leave it in the dome at 80ºF and 80% humidity and only mist inside the dome once a day. I use the heating pad at night which only heats up to 84ºF to aid in growth. The soil is moistened prior to placing the seed and for 2 weeks, I do nothing. At 2 weeks, she goes into the big tent and then it is on!!

I think unless sealed and just frying them with heat and light co2 in smaller grows unnecessary. Just me.

Wonderful , that helps allot. I have been keeping it in low 80s . But I just read on here to keep it below 77. So I reprogrammed my controller to run fan over 78. It’s been going on and off all day and sucking my humidity. So I think I’m going to set it back to turn on at 85 temp and 85 humidity. Even though the highest I can get my humidity is 64 with a humidifier even.
But again thanks that will save me on allota electric.

Hey thank you . Believe me I really appreciate every bit of advice, help, suggestions, and opinions I can get! I did already spend a few hundred on a regulator, controller, tank etc. So no use not to use it. But it is nice to know that I can still get great results with minimal use of it. You probably just saved me about half of what I was going to use. About 15 a month adds up.

The cool thing about growing cannabis is there are so many ways to do it and get really good results. I see stuff like hydro and i am just amazed at how healthy they get if you get everything dialed in. I am older and still use my methods from the 80s but have much better lights. I grow in soil. I transplant 4 times. I only have to add a bit of calmag with my bloom nutes during flower twice. I use distilled since it is 7 and it naturally balances my soil ph. I do check runoff but only if she is showing signs of maintenance. I am real simple.

@anon72256435 Ok everyone, this is where I am at now. They seem to be doing a bit better now. Think I was just over watering them and stunted their growth. Good thing I went with photos. One of my babies I let get a little to wilted. But one of the ones I planted about a week or so after the rest is the one that is doing significantly better than the rest. She is the one that I only watered when first planted then left alone till giving a little bit of water yesterday.
I just ramped my light up to 60 percent and about 15 inches or so away from light. Meter is reading between 675-700. Got my CO2 controller set at 750 with a 200 deadband.
Also just got a 3 pack of girlcrush from twenty20 Mendocino and started germination yesterday. Going to wait like 3 weeks and the 5-6 that are doing the best I’ll keep in tent and the rest I’m just going to plant in a small clearing somewhere in a nearby woods or something.
Also meet a licensed farmer that has " blue dream" clones in plugs. Is going to be giving me some after they start rooting.
Anyway here are my little girls for now.
Btw poly I just saw some of the newer pics on your thread. Absolutely beautiful what strain of shrooms?
My purple mystics are done colonizing and I will be putting in fruiting chamber this weekend.
My z-strain is about ran out so Im going to try and place that outside somewhere and hopefully it will dig any remaining into ground and possibly have an outside shroom spot .

All the ones that sprouted are zkittlzz. I got the girlcrush in germ now. Actually peeked this morning and one of the 3 has a little tap started.
I thought they looked like gt’s but wasn’t sure. I’m glad I could help you out with spore vendor. I’m sure you will be more than satisfied with them. I couldn’t ask for anything better then what they have been sending me. Midwestgrowkits is the ones that refered them.
I just today bought a bag of black cow manure from Lowes to mix in with z-strain. I marked out a little area with sticks and rocks in woods across from friends house. Mixed my z strain in with it, dumped a little water, and covered with a blanket of moist leaves. Hopefully it will take . No big deal if they don’t. Was only 5 bucks for cow shit and about an hour of time. Besides I got over a quarter pound dry off them already. But would be really cool if they do catch on. Especially if they come back every year.

You should. I find them to be probably the easiest and most hardiest plants to maintain once you get them going.
I just twist the top off of a store bought one and peel the little leave/pedal like things untill you start to see the little roots. Then I still peel a couple few more layers. They’re are several different preferences of how long to let them set in water before putting in soil. I found they work either way most of the time. But you do gotta be patient with them . Depending on where you are they can take awhile to grow. Also they look like they’re dying because the old leaves do rot away. I usually pull mine when that happens. But once they start going it’s hard to mess them up. Just give it a little water here and there, as much light as you can , and everything else happens on its own. Go for it! They cost like 3 bucks at Walmart. Get a couple / few and try different methods if you like. See what you like best. Worst of worst case scenario is your out a few bucks. But I’m sure you can get them to go.
