Fimming and topping

Was wondering can you Fim a plant you already topped or vise versa ? Would it help or hurt ?

It depends on the plant. After topping, I’d let her recover before fimming, and vise versa, but for a short answer, yes…

Thanks again, Would there be a benefit? Or is it best to chose on or the other?

If your topping its best to just stick with it if you miss and Fim its still gonna be fine. Like Dumme said just make sure you give them time to recover in between. For me the first topping takes about a week maybe a little more but after that initial all sequential toppings take less time. Depending on strain you may not want to top more than a few times. The most with any plant I’ve grown has been 4 and that was with a super tall sativa in order to control the size. The results were not that great with topping that many times so I personally would not recommend.

Right on. They are essentially the same Fimming just came about from F@#k I Missed when people were trying to top and failed now it is a proven technique. The only real benefit to it is less recovery time. I feel that the results from topping are better. Most times it just doubles the stems but with topping I have gotten 4 shoots from 1 top.

I have five plants going now and I topped 3 fimed the other 2 to see how my girls handled it :grinning:
They seem to respond well to both ?
