I have 2 plants (photos) two different strains late in flower and there growing seeds. I can’t see where they hermied there’s no nanners anywhere. I’ve read where light intensity or intense heat could cause this the heat never exceeded 85f thru out the the whole grow.
I’m in a 4x4 running a HLG Scorpion RspecFR which is wall to wall light.
Input would be appreciated…Thanks
Might there be another hermie around that could have pollinated the plant? It’s not uncommon for an un-pollinated female to produce a few seeds, but you have quite a few seeds there.
My last grow hermied I cleaned every bit of everything in the tent with h202 and vacumed then ran the tent for a week with strong air circulation before putting the pots in.
Is one of them a Gorilla Glue by any chance? I’ve only had one grow that produced seeds over the last several years, and it was a Gorilla Glue that did it. Since then I’ve spoken with a few people and seen a couple of cases here in the forum as well where it seems that strain might be more prone to this happening.
There must be a source of male pollen nearby if there are more than a handful of seeds present. There are nanners on the flowers somewhere or male calyxes at the nodes of that plant or a nearby plant.
The bright white pistils are just more recent than the others, this is more like foxtails and wouldn’t create seeds.
The only way seeds are forming is from pollen. It’s either coming from one of the plants or leftover from previous grow, and it sounds like you cleaned properly. That would leave maybe some of your equipment like a fan or duct that was contaminated or the plants producing the pollen. As leafy as these plants are it wouldn’t surprise me if sacks are just hidden. Most of those seeds are mature so it’s likely this pollen was present several weeks ago too.
