question, might be dumb but I am a newbie. Is it possible for females NOT to develop white hairs between the nodes. I have plants on 4th and 5th nodes without pollen balls or sacs! But there is no white hairs just green. Mind screwed cause I was told, females grow white hairs, Also people say male plants don’t do anything for you except pollenate and wreck. So if I have all males just make a salad, and use them for expierments on clipping bending and so forth.

without a picture it would be a guess but this might help it sounds like you are describing male pre-flower
How old is it before killing it .
I apologize for the delay. They came up on the 2-12 and are 6-7" tall. In pots outdoors. Central Florida.
I would think 4th or 5th node would be too soon to see sex. Unless I’m misunderstanding.
I will give it another week , they are a month and already 6-7 " tall. 2 smell like skunk and the rest just smells green, but no pollen sacks , balls or white hairs, any hairs visible. These are my purples growing outside in pots. I will figure out how to upload pics. is it possible that calcium defec was passed unto the seed? soon as they sprouted purple stems and centers, now that they are getting taller its slightly changing. This is an indica strain and at 7" tall and no stretch has only 3 leaves. I was told its a super rare strain of Afghan by those on You Tube. I don’t know I gave them their first feed on the 27th. will post pics soon as figure this out.
Are they auto or feminized plants? I can’t remember. If they are auto they will show and flower when they want to, if they are feminized plants they won’t usually sex until you make them by changing the light schedule. Now they can show signs of pre sex, but that doesn’t always happen with feminized plants. If you want to sex them wait till they are big enough to take a cutting and force it to flower by givin it 12/12 and then it will show the sex then you can just change the lighting back to 18/6 or what light schedules you have them at now and you’ll have another plant from that cutting/clone you took, I believe that’s how it works in a general sense.

Honestly, I think it’s just too soon. I’ll assume not auto’s since those would be female baring stress issues. Until they get under 12 hours light and 12 hours night they will not show sex. Since you’re outdoors, are you getting 12 hour day/nights?
the bag they came from was 2 hits and a great 3 hour mellow, they are getting 11hrs of light outdoors. but they are way too healthy, no discoloration, wilt, yellow, or curved leaves. straight and crisp. Appreciate everyones input. just going load some pics let ride till Gld Lf and Jack comes. That will be my main focal point. Now in Florida we will be reaching the 90’s in another month or two, 80’s now. Is the heat in outdoor growing going to be a big prob for me? these girls will be my babies.
@FloridaSon, I know you are an outdoor grower in Florida, could you help him out brother? I’m a straight indoor stealth grower. I hope it all works out brother

My location hits 12hrs of daylight on the 15th. You may be a day ahead of me. If they haven’t sexed by then, you can cover them with a large black can with no holes. This will allow you to artificially keep them at 12hrs.
I’m not exactly sure how old they have to be to show sex but I would think 6-8 weeks would do. Mind you, that time frame is just a guess.
