I have an outdoor grow going, 3 blueberry autos and 1 supreme haze, they’re in FFOF soil with extra perlite added. I’ve read on threads here where ppl don’t use any nutes when using this soil until bloom, but those were indoor grows. Basically my question is should I be feeding them nutes? I’m assuming that rain will essentially flush the dirt which I’m guessing will wash out some of the goodness that’s in the FFOF soil. I don’t wanna get wimpy plants cuz I’m slacking on feeding so all imput is good imput. @garrigan62 @BIGE @latewood @Hogmaster @FloridaSon @Majiktoker @peachfuzz not sure if all of you have experience growing outdoors but I know some of you do. Any help will be greatly appreciated (:
Yes I absolutely would feed them throughout the whole process after they get their set a true leaves don’t want to burn any babies

When would you start? And how frequently would you partake in the feedings? Your opinion is the one I’m low key most interested in, I saw some pics of your harvest from last year’s outdoor grow n was more or less blown away

Is the first time in 20 years I’ve had issues I have had outside are you also using Foxfarm nutrients or what are your nutrients you’re using

I have GH base and pk boost n then botonicare… Not really nutes but supplements; liquid karma, hydroguard, silica blast n calmag. I also have… I think rx solutions? It came with one of my grow cabs but I don’t really like it because it drops pH to like the 4’s, which on there website says is fine… But I didn’t like it while I was starting out my first hydro grow.

The gh is some good stuff all that you have will work fine I personally don’t do 1/4 strength nutrients I go by what it says on the bottle especially outside with the rain in the white stuff gets washed out hope that helps but I would absolutely start any day

Next time I need to go out to water em I’ll mix up some nutes. Calmag is probably basically pointless in a soil grow right? N the hydroguard I really only use to keep my rez clean for my indoor grows. Guessing I can omit that also. I have a different root supplement I can use, do you think I should?
Sometimes you need calmag so it’s not always a waste

Any root supplement should be fine just don’t overdo it and I would wait till you’re putting them in the ground before you use it I use mikros

There in the middle of a swamp… So they aren’t going in the ground. I was thinking for the supreme haze I might lay out a thick bed of some cheap soil n cut the bottom of the pot off so the roots can grow out. Kinda feel like a 5 gallon pot for an auto will be fine, but if u think otherwise I could do the same.

I’ve always done my autos in 3 gallon also done in five either way you go you should be fine But 3 gallon minimum

Ya there already in 5s so I’m not really worried about the roots getting bound. Do you think cutting the bottom of the supreme haze pot n putting it in a thick bed of soil will work or should i just get a 7 or ten gallon pot n transplant it?
I would go with a bigger pot
What size you think? She’s already about 2 ft tall. I think because I started her hydro before moving to soil. She had great roots n started to thrive as soon as I put her in the pot of FFOF
Depends how big you want it it’s a minimum of 10 gallon up to 25 gallon
I want it to grow as big as I can get it to grow in the season lol. 2ft tall now in late June, so another what 2 months almost of veg? What ever you think I should get for her is what I’mma get, I trust ur opinion

If you want my honest opinion I’ve been using Fox Farm on my indoor grow all the way up to this grow today is four weeks of growth using flower power nutrients and pro mix

Ya I was looking at ur thread this morning. When I’m out of GH I think I’mma make the switch. Just ordered a 15 gallon smart pot off Amazon, tan to hopefully keep the roots a lil cooler. But ya great looking grow like always. I’m hoping you don’t have any plants ready for July so my NLA has a chance at BOM lol. Might be a lil selfish of me… But I want a chance lol

Nope nothing for July or aug maybe aug but your all clear for bom for a while lol i’ve just been very lucky and fortunate
