Stop being modest. Skilled is the word.
Thanks @Tonyb
50 gal and up, anything smaller outdoor is a waste…
Trust me on this, I am re-potting my last couple in 30 gal pot into 65 this weekend…
The bigger the pot, bigger the plant…
Next year I grow in 100 gal pots, I already see anything smaller is waste of a plant…
Got them in 50 gal now, too small expect at most 3 lb per plant , I am aiming for 5-10 lb per plant next year…
All my outdoor growing is been directly in the ground thank you for your input on pot size
I got half in ground and half in pots, just to compare…have been uppotting like maniac…
Started at 10 gal, now at 65 gal. Still too small for monster trees…
Guys here grow in 400-800 gal pots ![]()
Hey bro I just germinated my auto ak47s so I placed them in pint size biodegradable pots for a bit will it be okay if I transplant them in the soon as soon as they pop out ? Sorry for just butting in lol any info would be really appreciated!
My plants only 2 ft rn n I’m in mass so my season don’t last forever though
What is your base nutrients? LK, SB, and CM are all additives. I could not see which nutrient system you are using.
General rule is that FFOF soil does not need nutrients for a month or so becuase it contains all the necessary nutrition to provide the plant with what it need for a month or so. At 1 month, if you feel you need to or “must” Add nutrients.
Again, all this is based on what you are using.
I use GH. I only ask if they need feeding cuz of rain. That’s essentially flushing the soil I would think right? Which would wash out some of the nutes in the soil. I know If I was indoors I wouldn’t mess with anything until late veg just with rain storms idk if the soil will retain the… Goodness? For the first month
Yes. Due to rain a grower would increase solution strength by 10% in an outdoor hydro garden; So, IN soil and because of rain; It would be a goo idea to feed the plants nutrients. Use the 1-1 -1 GH formula once after a good rain and onitor plants for happiness.
Sonething to keep in mind. I love Gh nutrients but, I no longer use them. I use the PH up and down “indoors”. That is it.
I never felt that GH was the way to go for soil. You will do fine but, If you are going to use Foxfarm soil. Foxfarm or Flower Power nutrients would do a better job, IMO. ![]()
Ya I need to decide what I wanna switch my nutes too. I’m almost out of my GH base nutes. They worked great for my indoor hydro grows, so I might just keep getting em but idk. Everything else I use for like supplements n stuff is botonicare so I might switch to using that full line. I’m pretty sure botonicare is considered organic so there’d be that as a plus I guess.
@Tonyb I would check out the starter pack of the flower power dude it will blow your mind
Thank you for tagging me. Sorry it took so long to get here, but I see your in great hands!
I start feeding my autos as soon as I see the pistles forming. I go with Big Bud and Tiger Bloom. I also supplement with worm cast tea.
They’re looking good…
Ya the one photo plant out there is loving it. Lots of sun for a haze plant I think is gunna result in one big plant. Just ordered a bigger pot to transplant in too. Hopefully that helps add to her size. I checked on the autos yesterday for the first time and they’re loving it too. Lots of sun n we keep having the perfect amount of rain. I really only went to check yesterday just to see and add more de for the hell of it lol
I just did a side by side by side with
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, CNS17 bloom, and CNS17 ripe. -VS_ Foxfarm Trio -VS- Flower Power starter kit.
I have been busy and have not written the final results but, I will tell you briefly my findings.
Flower Power won hands down by 3-4 oz. I think it was.
Botanicare came in 2nd and Foxfarm 3rd. The Foxfarm plants just did not blow up like the Flower Power or the Botanicare.
One thing I do not like about the Foxfarm. The Big Bud Trio pack all buffer the PH. This is great, sometimes. Unfortunately the buffer lowers the PH too low for soil unless you always want to PH up, and personally I find that to be a pain in the ass.
Hope this helps you decision a bit.
If you stay with GH…So be it. It is your choice and if you are happy with the product, then don’t worry about. KIS, Peace, lw
High everybody thought i would chime in on pot size. I usually grow in the ground but thought i would try a smart pot on a free white widow auto. I am using ff base soil and mixed a super soil but left out the hot stuff, using the trio for that. My plants are going crazy. That wwa is in a 10 g smart pot, she is 7 weeks old today and is 49in tall amazing buds she probably has 6 weeks or 8 weeks to go . I wish i had the balls to send pixs im in a not so friendly weed growing state Ky. How would i sent a pic if i did Thanks
The code from the pics is removed from the pics as they are uploaded. @bodean
How to upload them depends on the device, but basically when you are in edit mode like I am when writing this, there is an icon on the toolbar of the window that you can click to upload a pic or drag and drop or smartphone there is an upload button lower right corner of page.
Disaster struck… I went to feed my autos n my supreme haze looks horrendous. 80% of the leaves were like dead. I did a transplant in to the 10 gallon smart pot… Hoping it bounces back…
It will bounce back. The force is with you
