The top of one of my plants, the fan leaves are standing straight up and twisting. I did have some nute burn that I’ve been dealing with. But the plants started to look a lot better and this started to happen today? I thought having the fan to close had caused it but I moved the fan up and it’s worse now. Plant info bellow.
-34 days old from sprout
-450 watt LED at 65% at 30” away.
-double grape strain
-coco loco medium
-watered 2 days ago.
-77 degrees
-60% RH
My plants all do that in mid to late veg. It’s a sign that they are happy. Praying to the lights, if you will.
Node spacing doesn’t suggest lighting problems.
Looks like it’s just turning twards the light and “praying” as it’s typically referred to as.
This is actually a very good thing, it shows she’s bery happy and I’d bet has been growing or will start growing very vigorously.
Is the direction its “twisting” twards the light sorce? This would help confirm the praying if so ![]()
Those plants have a very pretty color tint to the leaves. They look great. I bet they go pretty purple and magenta at flower. They are going to be very beautifully colored. ![]()
Mine only do that when they get short on water, typical plant response to lower the light and heat at the sites that use the most.
Preying typically indicates too much light.
Thank you, my first indoor grow and I’ll hope to be successful. I appreciate your comment.
That’s what I was also thinking. That the lights need to be turned down and or raised up. But my lights are at least 30” away and at 65% power. It’s a VIVOSUN 450watt Bar style LED full spectrum light. I think one of the pictures I posted it shows the distance of the light.?
The y oddly came back down from their “praying” position about 2 hours before the light was about to shut off on their own. I’ll see how it does in the next couple days and if it looks like damage is being caused I’ll turn down the light. My par levels are already below 400. I would actually like to increase the light a little more but will definitely hold off on doing so. Thank you for your reply and help. This community has helped me out so much, that I don’t think I would have been able to keep these girls as well as I have without the guidance. Thanks again.
