Experiment with companion planting

Alright guys @Se7en, @Graysin @dbrn32, @Dforce @Nicky @PurpNGold74, serious question!! I have a good feeling about the hurt ladies; however, I need to know what you guys think. So, on my sad branches some leaves are green and them the others are slowly turning brown. I can tell that they are still flowering because I have been feeding them and paying a very close eye on them. As last year I had dam caterpillars Anyways my question is should trim off the browning leaves and to help them focus on one thing at a time? or leave them the way they are?

Its like half and half brown leaves and green also the green ones are NOT crispy which is good in my eyes cause then I know I have some type of chance!

Also the white powder on them is CJDB because I saw a few ants and naturally got worried lol and I have had a few days of rain in eastern MA.

This one here is still flowering and I am beyond thankful but idk about the brownish leaves, Im worried about it taking up the healing energy.

I’m I seeing some good branches in these picks. If so, I know this isn’t what you want to hear:cry:, but I personally would cut the dying branches off and let everything focus on the good branches:thinking:. From what I see they are to far gone for flowering plants . And as for the powder, I would clean most of it off, your going to want them to collect all the light they can.:disappointed_relieved: Sorry for my thoughts. I wish they were better.

Yes you are seeing good branches on the bottom half of my ladies… ahhhh noooo that is what Iwas afraid of :sob: :sob: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: ughh I am so friggin mad!! I put so much work into them and for me to have to do chop them so late into the cycle. ugh!! The powder is coming off later we are supposed to get some more tonight and Im worried about getting aphids like last year. FML… My experiment was going well and now idk :confounded: :disappointed: :disappointed:

Well if it makes you feel any better, I have burned lbs, due to mold, mildew, and rot. And I had a couple very large plants stolen from me 2 years ago.I have had many bad seasons, that’s why I went to greenhouses. I’ve even thrown my last 15 or so plants that I had indoors any do to mildew 2 years ago. I did a remod of one of my rooms and going to try again this winter. :crossed_fingers:

If this were me i would probably just let the plants looking mostly dead go. Looks like you have a few plants that look perfectly fine, i would focus on those.

Agreed. I spent about 3 weeks trying to save a plant that was essentially dead. She would have had a fighting chance if she was able to go back into veg and spend her energy recovering. Being outdoors and forced to flower due to the sunlight - it may not be worth keeping those upper branches.

@apple unfortunstle you have to agree with @Dforce :pensive: all those dead branches and up you’re probably better off cutting away, sort of like a partial harvest, so you’re still left with the living part, the dying part now of its continuing to turn brown then chances are it won’t recover, also being in flower, they may not recover at all unless you can get them to vegetate again :pensive: I’m sorry you didn’t wanna hear that and youre going through this honestly! I hope your ex knows how much of a pathetic little girl he is doing this  humans are just the worst!

Heyy!! It still is going well! You saved most of them, and you can save what’s left of these ones for the most part, don’t knock yourself down you’ve done nothing wrong to deserve this and you didn’t cause this, so in my eyes you’re still successful and you’re still doing amazing! Don’t get yourself down about it, I know it’s super stressful on the best of days let alone when something like this happens, the way you gotta see it is he didn’t succeed in killing all your hard work off, he did a half ass attempt and couldn’t even kill the bad ones properly :grimacing: he’s the failure, not you!

@Dforce That does not make me feel better that is horrible as well. I’m sorry for your losses. @Se7en I can’t just cut the Fan leaves you really think I should top them? I have been so hopeful and just got my super thrive stuff today hoping that might help. I am so unsure lol the branches don’t seem “dead” just the fan leaves honestly. I do not know anymore. :disappointed:

You can hold off for a while longer - it will just be hard on her to recover from that damage. Not impossible necessarily- just evaluate whether it will be worth the time and energy you put into it if she doesn’t recover.

I’m just going by what someone said above it made sense, call it a “partial harvest” except you’re not harvesting you’re just getting rid of dead matter or growth that you may be waiting weeks to recover for it NOT to recover if makes sense? Dont wanna see you getting upset even more for stressing about recovering them for it not to work you know? Mannn if I was near you I’d give you some of mine to replace them, whatever choice you make will be the right one! Whatever you feel comfortable with do it, but don’t do anything that will stress you out too much more, we all want you to love this and enjoy it, I stress way too much too but it’s unnecessarily worry, this is a legit worry for you, and just want to see you prosper!

But, in this case, if the branches are still trying to grow this is a good sign that she’s not giving up on herself! So that could go massively in your favour

Thank you I did have to cute a couple branches they sadly did not make it I sealed them with aloe as my wonderful friend bought me an aloe plant yesterday lol. I trimmed all the dead crap and I’m hoping that since I did this, they have a chance or at least some type of chance you know.

Also I know I can’t stress too much just suck all my hard work  this is just my favorite pass time and I enjoy doing this so its rough. That is very kind of you to want to give me some ill be ok and next year will be a better grow. I won’t

have to worry about my ladies then. I do have these good things to show for this grow though.

Bless you! I’m sure you have the test anchored down, those other girls are looking super pretty! You’re doing amazing, there no way you can start a little grow indoors? So you have something going in between?

Hey you can stress as much as you like! But that just means you’re not enjoying it as much you could be  i know it’s totally justifiable!! I’d be just as mad myself, so it’s easier for me to sit here and say try not to stress, I stress everyday  but if Anything could or can be done to save them you’re already there, concentrate more on the good ones for now, see how the injured ones do recovering by themselves, some times too much worry and attention causes more problems

You’ll get a nice haul off that big girl! She’s looking beautiful! :pray:t2::sunglasses:

Thank you, I am working on trying to figure out an indoor growing area in my house right now. I do have a tent and the entire setup to do so. Its about finding the space lol. I am very thankful that I have half my ladies left and that they are thriving and the sad ones I am working very hard to help them and I think things are looking good. Time will tell I guess thank you again for your help and support for these babies’ you guys are all wicked awesome!!

Ok guys so today is the day that I am topping the ladies. I have waited long enough for signs of recovery, and I am so sad to do this so late in the game, but shit happens right? Anyways the main stem on some of them has turned a different color. which is basically done and gone. I hate that I have to do this, but it is completely necessary so I will take pics of my before and after

Brightside though my Blueberry will be ready in a week or so. And the rest of the girls are flowering yay!!

Best of luck on their recovery after the topping. :crossed_fingers:

Thats a shame. Well, carma’s a bitch and she hits hard. His day will come. But, stick with those plants and make some killer lemonade out of those lemons👍

@Graysin @Se7en @W.B.elpaso, Thank you guys! I hate having to do this so late in the game, but I can’t chance them not recovering and it sucks. But you guys are all so awesome and I am thankful for your support with my ladies I have had so much going on the last two months and I am hoping and praying for a better September. Karma will get him that I have no doubt about. I also have just installed more cameras so now my house is like Fort Knox, which is just ridiculous but clearly needed. I am not a fan of all of drama and bullshit regarding my ladies, I just want to grow my weed and be happy :slightly_smiling_face: I am working on figuring out a greenhouse deal where I can grow indoor and all year round. It might be a process but so worth it. I am so dreading topping my girl with a badass genetic mutation her leaves are the coolest!
This is what I did last night and so far i will also show you the cool mutation.

Chopped it right there because it looked very dead.

the white stuff is CJDB I am washing that off today I had to do it because of heavy rain and fear of nasty Aphids. This was also the Cherry truffle he tried to kill when ripping out the roots on the 6th of august I had saved her just to chop her in half because of his childish behavior.

Also not pm its CJDB
They are all sad but can focus on what counts… continuing to flower !!

I’m just so glad to see them all still alive. Shorter now, perhaps, but they will flourish with your love and care. The harvest will be worth the energy and patience you put into them.
