In the photo is an Amnesia Auto in week 14 and an Alaskan Purple week 11. Older leaves turning yellow. Fox farm once a week trying to battle the yellow doesn’t seem to be helping. In fact the Amnesia has new grow on the bottom. New leaves very dark green almost waxy.
Plants are in happy frog soil, Mars hydro light, with RO water.
I have read leaves turn yellow at the end of life but I expect these still have several weeks to go.
What do I need to do to make sure these babies don’t totally die this close to the finish line??
Can you take some pictures in natural light? It is challenging to diagnose in that color light. You said the age is 14-weeks. Is that from flipping to 12/12 or overall from starting the seed?
12 and 14 weeks from popping thru the soil.
I was a week off. Actually today starts week 16 for amnesia and tomorrow starts week 13 for the Alaskan purple popping thru the soil.
Here are a few more pics
I included a photo of some new growth not included in the first post.
I had the same question a few weeks ago and we all
Figured it was just end of life self cannibalization. If these are autos at 14 weeks they def should be close to the end of the line. Also. Yellow leaves won’t come back green
I learned this the hard way trying to cal mag dead leaves back to life ![]()

have you looked at the trichomes yet?
Have not checked trichomes yet since the most of the pistils are still white.
Is it time to do a flush ? Or keep giving nutes as life support ?
Is cal-mag included in your feedings with RO water? What does breeder say about days til ripe? That looks to be more than end of life to me.
14 weeks on an auto should be near the end. I believe the Alaskan purple is a fem. Is that correct? If it is then I’m leaning toward deficiency because they look the same.
I haven’t been doing any cal-mag.
The amnesia seed says 12 weeks and 8 weeks for the Alaskan purple. I’m new, this is my 3rd and 4th plant to grow but my other previous plants went several weeks over the “may be harvested” time frame from the seed company.
The “estimated” flowering time by breeder is from their facility in a near perfect grow environment. As a homegrower you can pretty much throw it out the window. Very seldom have I had an auto, or heard of an auto flowering at the times posted by breeder. Definetly not earlier. I’ve gone 2,3, sometimes over a month past their estimated time. As far as your plants. What is the temps, humidity in the room? How close are lights? I was thinking light stress, or maybe heat stress, since it looks like more than just your leaves near the top are hurting. Usually if it’s light, the issue starts up top(obviously) lol. So I would suggest maybe heat. But really I’m leaning toward nute burn. What ya feeding and how often? You said dark green, waxy leaves. I hear that and I immediately think nitrogen toxicity. Have you checked the ppm of runoff lately.? I’m thinking a good clean flush with ph water might be needed.
