@GreenSnek I use a 70/30 coco perlite mix and this go around I’m using a version of ironh3ad’s method for nutes. https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/ironheads-method-for-success.1371748/
Looks like a solid nutrient plan i prefer jacks 321 + organic and hydro additives for sheer ease of use but there’s nothing wrong with trying someone elses tried and true method
Appreciate the tag @Bulldognuts and I top all my autos and train them like photo periods. 3 in the grow that were topped to the 3rd node with almost every node below removed. The trick is getting started and keeping a healthy and vibrant seedling and the the 1st week of veg. This helps with getting to the 6th node within the first 8-10 days then I top back to the 4th node and typically have 2 weeks left to veg before flower. I kept a journal on trying to time autos and 95% of mine have flowered at 28-36 days from the 14 day seedling period. Hope helps
Yo thanks for those stats bro, they’re gold to me
Anytime Grow Bro
Finally home to show you i wasnt kidding about that pineapple express , the highest bud is at nose level and im 6’2" luckily my bloody skunk is almost done so ill be able to move her better
She’s a beast! Happy Birthday Growmie
Thank you i swear its a almost a curse to be this good at growing i was originally doing 8 strains at a time looks like even 6 is to much now , shame, i got into this to try to find the perfect high so i need variety
Still on that quest myself . Sour Diesel and Super Lemon Haze so far for day smoke and White Widow for the evenings. Ran 14 last fall and it whipped my Azz
Late to the party but they can be topped, just do it in veg.
I prefer to fim once and 4 tops rather then topping to produce 2, topping is more stress than fimming as well.
Here
You planned this out well. Nice set up with the 2 tents and light
I started looking at this thread and now I’m interested in trying this out my next photo grow. I just don’t want the money I spent on my current set up go to waste. https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/grs-5-plant-vertical-grow-winter-19-20.475416/
Thank you for this post and link… I’m def going to try this method as well very soon… the results they’ve been getting with that method speaks for itself…
Where are you located at in VA? I’m just south of RVA
If you’re asking me… we’re west of you in the Blue Ridge
Word it’s just nice to see another local VA in here… I’m glad we went legal… I was going to bet with us being a Commonwealth we’d have been one of the last states on the east coast to have gone legal.
I’ve been on the forum since about September of last year and there are several other Virginians on here learning how to grow.
It looks like every one has you covered here. I like to top my self. I get a controlled growth pattern. Important to me since I use scrogs. Here is my take for pot size. You can do as well in a 3 gallon as a 5. If I am top feeding. I always use a 5 gallon pot. the reason is that in a 3 gallon pot. I have to feed twice a day late in flower since they dry out that fast. A 5 gallon pot will give me a full day between feedings. For strransplanting. They have you as well. I use nursery bags so I can just drop them into the final pot and go. You should go from the solo to final pot with autos or in coco. Getting a auto into a final pot as quick as possible will get things growing quicker too. I am normally in a final pot at day 7 - 10. Depends one what I have going on here. @neofirebird does autos as well and starts right in the coco. That hasn’t done good for me. But he has good luck doing it that way. Your girls are looking great. The BS I did were tall and spindly as well.
I have 15 going 6 different strains, Photos and Auto’s trying to find something nice to work with. I have been Topping my seedlings when they are small
and usually end up with 4-6 cola’s on my girls, this is a recent AK photo that I harvested.
Thank you so much for this!
