I would recommend it. It will actually make everything easier for you in the long run! You won’t be worried about the coco drying out if you know you have a drip system setup. You can tailor it too, for more water, less water, etc.

After initial cost you can have the unit forever if you take care of it and do proper maintenance. You can have multiple grows with multiple plants being taken care of too, it all depends on what you’re growing and your space and budget lol!
When I first started hydro I had bought a drip system for my bucket. I realized once the roots were established that I didn’t really need the drip system anymore, so I removed it. I learned that for me, the drip system was only necessary during early growth, until roots grew into my reservoir (I grow in DWC buckets). But the dripping helped my roots get established and lead them down into the reservoir. I gave it to a friend, but I would still use it if I had it!

Good to hear that as well because I’m going to be doing an experiment DWC soon with some bag seed cause that I wouldn’t mind losing. I’d rather lose bad bag seed and learn to grow with em then get the good stuff from ILGM.

Definitely something I want to try just need to get the setup which, I’ll probably DIY because why not right haha. Just need to get the essentials for the build. How do you start it off? Well I don’t wanna hijack this post actually so I’ll talk to you in my GJ.
After researching DWC, I think it is best for me to keep trying with the coco for a few rounds. Once I get things perfected I may build myself a bucket system. Thanks again for all your help!

The Blueberry is toast. 
The Gold Leaf is doing great and it looks like the Pineapple Haze has bounced back. The Strawberry Kush isn’t getting any worse, so I still have a bit of hope for that little lady.
The White Widow seed has popped!

The White Widow was only down for 40ish hours! Pretty incredible! I’ve got five others down, hoping to end up with eight plants in total. I think I’m getting closer to figuring this whole thing out, I hope… Lol

I just potted the rest of the seeds. All had a good tap root and looked in good health. Hopefully this is the end of my killing spree! 
Sounds like a plan man! Can’t wait to see how your grow goes. And with everyone here helping you along the way I’m sure it’ll be a great grow. I definitely hope so. I can say I’ve germinated a total of about 20 bag seed and have successfully germed them but have killed a few on accident from dumb rookie mistakes like overwatering them, forget to put holes in domes so I end up heat stressing them to a brittle brown. Just something that happens. But keep me updated would love to see pictures over time. Happy growing friend!

Is that filter on your intake or exhaust?

It is on the exhaust. I’m just using two of the floor vents for the intake.
I tried using those to plant seeds and I had about 8 of them and they all failed the taproot grew an inch and never grew so I use rapid rooters and 100% sucessful. I really wanted to use those too.
I’ll be switching to DWC and will not be using coco at all in the future. I’ll start them in paper towel and grow them in soil til they’re ready for the DWC. The Pineapple Haze and Strawberry Kush aren’t going to survive the night, so I’ve only managed to pull 1/8 of the seeds through the first two weeks! That’s just ridiculous!
Where do you find it at that price I need something for smell as well
Just ordered a new ph meter. I had a bit of time to spare this morning, so I attempted to calibrate the brand new, supposedly calibrated from the factory, ph meter I started this grow with. It wasn’t even close to accurate! It saw the 7.0 solution as 9.3-10 ish and jumped all over the place. The 4.0 solution was 6.6-7.2 ish and jumping all over the place. Tried several times to calibrate and couldn’t do it, but I’m pretty sure I’ve been watering these ladies with water at less than 3.7! This is good and bad news. I’ve wasted nine very expensive seeds, but at least I’ve found the problem.

Not to kick you when you’re down but that’s why I use bag seed or “testers” before I buy anything of worth because when I buy the beautiful genetics from ILGM I want to make sure I can do everything possible to prevent killing them or any type of deficiency.
