Easter babies sprout day after 420

Multi pack first time grow, trying to send a pic of my 3 girls planted late afternoon Easter Sunday. Germinated 2 amnesia haze 1 chocolope and 1 big bud. No sign of big bud yet. In spite of the cold temps, needing another LED and purchased heating mat, 3 of my girls popped through the soil morning after 420. Want to send pic but need help!

The word upload in blue at the bottom right of the pop up comment box will bring up a prompt to follow to your pictures. Welcome to the forum @bonnie1 and I stuck mine in the dirt on 4 20 also 2 blue dream 2 super skunk and 1 green crack I will be following your grow. Good luck with the girls the first harvest is very satisfying , when it is all over and you have your own home tended crop that is better than anything else around.

Hey oldstoner, you got that right! Can’t wait for my own, so rewarding. Feel so stupid, don’t see the word upload for pics. I’ll take break and try later, thanks so much. Good luck with your 4 20 grow. Yes, please stay in touch, I’m really hooked on this site!

Be sure not to overwater those beauties. They don’t need much water when they are seedlings. I usually just use a spray bottle and moisten the soil. Just a heads up. I’ve seen a lot of new growers overwater there seedlings and start off on the wrong foot.

Also don’t give them any nutes for a while. Usually there is enough nutes in the first set of leafs and the soil to sustain them for a while. Another common mistake.

Thank you for your support. I’m very careful with watering and haven’t used any nutrients yet. Been reading a lot and it says not to but read a lot of people do it. Today at 3 the Easter babies will be 7 days old. I’ll try to get more pics in few days. Missing my big bud. Never popped up, so I’m germinating one today, it will be a week behind. Don’t know how to handle that yet,

When you put the big bud seed in the medium it might have been put in differently than the others so it might take a little longer for it to pop out of the soil. I’ve had some where it takes a few days more before they pop out of the soil because of the way I put the seed in. It actually had to grow down slightly and then do a U turn to come back up.

Some people actually say it is better like that because the extra friction with the soil allows it to shed its shell better.

If it were me I would give it a few more days to see if it pops through.

Looking good it’s crazy how the highest yielding one takes the longest to pop up lol

I just planted another big bud, it’s been 7 days so I needed a big bud to join the family the way I planned. I hope it does pop up and I’ll have 2. But one will be a week behind, what to do about that? I’m going to start a journal soon. Thanks for that knowledge about big bud. Hope big is better!!!

I wouldn’t worry too much about it being a week behind. I’m growing 5 plants currently and 1 of them took like 4 extra days to pop out and it stayed smaller than the rest for a few weeks. I’m currently in flower now and the one that started out smaller is now the biggest and has the most bud sites out of all of them. So you never know.
I’ve never grown the big bud (actually just ordered some a few days ago) but all of the reviews I’ve read are great and they sound like they are a high yield strain so I’m excited to get a few of them in the ground myself.
Happy growing!

There’s still hope I know, so far nothing. I did germinate another one today, got impatient. Thanks for the tip, I didn’t know how long to wait until giving up on a seed. They all popped up in the order I planted them, one right after another, except big bud. Hopefully they will both survive cause I want that big bud! :grimacing:
