Durban Poison plants are struggling

From a fellow grower: I have 2 Durban plants that are struggling. Please see enclosed pictures.
Currently my water cycle is every 8 to 10 days. I water with pH down (my water is high ph) bloom fertilizer and Cal mag. Directly added to the water. I water until there is runoff and then I have tested the runoff the pH is between 6 and 8.
I flipped my plants to flowering cycle two weeks ago.

  • Strain: Durban poison
  • Type (fem/auto/reg): feminized
  • Climate indoor (indoor/outdoor):Mother Earth groundswell.
  • Medium- soil (soil/hydro/details):
  • pH of runoff or solution in reservoir: 5.8
  • Nutrient mix strength (EC/TDS):
  • Light type & schedule: 12/12 LED
  • Temperatures day & night: Day 65-80
  • Humidity day & night: 45-50
  • Ventilation: carbon filter
  • AC: yes
  • Humidifier: yes
  • De-humidifier: no
  • Co2: no

:point_up_2: their likely suffering lock out. Soil PH range of 6.3-6.8 is needed for nutrient absorption with 6.5 being the sweet spot. What brand of medium are you using. They’ll need more than just bloom nutrients and calmag :love_you_gesture:

Time to cut your losses and start over.

Eight to ten days between watering seems like a long time.

This is gonna be way too far inbetween waterings.

The 8 is a big concern

And conflicts with this

Hello,
Thank you for the help! I use Mother Earth Groundswell soil

There is no way to save the bigger plant? It’s flowering

Sorry I meant 5.8-6.8 PH NOT 8!

All too dry…

Cool. That’s a much better range lol!!

@beachglass OMG hilarious!!! :rofl::laughing::joy::joy::joy:

Yo. @Fieldofdreams miss me ??lol

Nah, not so much….lol. :upside_down_face:

How much of that 6’ snow did you get off of the Lake last week? Hope y’all are well and dig out!!

Oh my. It was crazy for couple days. I think we got 39" Buffalo suburbs got 83". I am 30 miles south on the lake. All melter already. We partied in my OLR (outdoor living room) during the storm.

Now that’s AWESOME!!! I need an invite to the snow party!!!

The 1 point PH difference may seem small but that’s a big difference when it comes to nutrient absorption. Certain factors can be off a little with growing cannabis but PH isn’t one of them :love_you_gesture:

Just an assist with perspective, brother.
The pH scale is logarithmic, means that 1 whole integer point increase changes the concentration by 10
Ex: pH3 is 10X more acidic than 4 & 100X more acidic than a pH5.
So, 6.5 to 8 = 1.5 thats a 150% differential so 50X(think my math is correct). That’s monumental Eff to correct.

Excellent breakdown Brother :love_you_gesture:

Looks pretty rough to me. Not sure I’d want to waste resources to get a little bit of smoke that may not be that good anyway, but that’s just me. If you think you can save it, give it a shot.
