Ha! i was told i was ā€œprobably allergic to cannabis, and could have a reaction and go into cardiac arrest!!ā€ when i had my appendix out. Amazing the crap some people come up with, you just don’t expect it from medical professionals i guess… until the govn’munt says so - cannabis is an evil evil plant.

Oh @Majiktoker something you might be able to help me with is, I read alot about flushing through, what’s that all about and when and why should it be done, I know if your using the wrong soil or if it’s nutrient, doing damage to the plants but some seem to do it as a matter of course, so why oh and @Hogmaster is a legend in my book

The golden question to flush or not to flush LOL it’s a question that’s been going on for years I love it I personally don’t flush I cannot tell any difference when I do and when I do not

The theory on this is to help rinse out remaining nutrients in the plants it doesn’t help with taste or smell, being said in rinsing out the extran elements and nutrients stored in the plant its said to help them cure faster. There is also no evidence of this being true.

However I disagree with the curing process because curing is curing that’s how you get rid of the gases built up in the cannabis flowers. There for flush vs no flush really there is no difference in flushing or not flushing.

The harshness is from to much nutrients being present in the plant otherwise their is no reason buds should have that harsh taste unless grown in toxic soil with nutrients majorly in excess

Hope this helps @darren

@Hogmaster ,how do you go about flushing ,when there in the ground?
As my brother In-law has a nut problem.

That is probably the best explanation of flushing I agree with you 100% on this by the way it’s afternoon but how’s it going I seen you on here this morning LOL

Lol told ya im doing good busy @Hogmaster

I don’t flush whenever I did I just take the garden hose and let it run but as @Majiktoker said there really is no difference but some people see it different . different strokes for different folks

So would or do all of you masters cure after drying as I thought this made them taste better, keep them fresher, and saves them from drying out to much, I thought that’s why the dispenseries kept them all in air tight jars, and all the master growers did it, as when mine is ready and I will be asking more questions at the time so I don’t get it wrong, I want mine to stay the best I can keep it

Best advice is to read through an see how everyone does it and the grow bible is a good place as well. Google drying and curing techniques. The drying and curing process is essential to having quality medicine

Yes it takes the chemical taste out of it, and yes you cure after drying. Dry for 7 days cure in airtight jar for 14 days burp twice a day 20 minutes each time total of 40 minutes

Every one should dry before curing if not you risk molding your buds

And you can also cure by using a food saver by sucking the air out of the jar’s and burping once a day and then sucking the air back out of the jar’s that’s how I personally do it I will get it dried which takes week sometimes longer than I separate into jars suck The air out of it with the food saver the next day I will open the jar dump it all out let it sit for 5-10 minutes put it back in the jar suck the air out and do it over and over for seven days just like that suck dump put back in and suck the air out I know that sounded horrible but I think you get what I’m saying doing it that way I can usually cure within 7 to 10 days after that I just keep it in the jar and occasionally burp

There is a thread about how to cure with a food saver I read somewhere on here

Thanks all, new questions for you all now ,I’ve just been to see my girl for the first time today, had the lights back on for an hour and everywhere I’ve cut the branches off when she got her hair cut for my scrog, and she’s popping out new leaves all over the place, should I pick these off so she can concentrate on the top growth or just leave them? And now that they are all separated at the top, should I spray as well as water @Hogmaster @Majiktoker @Hawkeye_diesel

Although the dry time may fluctuate depending on the drying conditions.

I’m ok with such a short cure time, but I’m finding the smoke much better after a longer cure time.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be smoking some as soon as it dries since I’m out, but it’s nothing compared to a lengthy cure.

I burp mine twice a day for a week. Every other day for another week. Then every two days…the length of the burp time also decreases as I go until they seem right.

I don’t have any of those boveda packs, so I’m just guessing about when they’re right, but my stoner senses say ā€œThere it is!ā€:imp:

I’m not trying to dispute what you said. I wanted to just clarify that drying isn’t set at 7 days. The curing comment is just how I do it. Not saying it’s the right way, just mine.

Of course, I came looking to improve…
