Drying your Cannabis

Everything that I have Read tells me when I’m curing My cannabis you should take X Amount of weeks to do so. I’m a little confused by this and I’m thinking that I did it all wrong but with that said it sure does taste great gets me high as hell and if I Dried it wrong then I wonder why so I can do better next time I get two more plants getting ready to get close

Drying and curing are two different things. Drying takes between a few days and a couple of weeks, depending on how you are doing it. Recommended is low temp (60s) and humidity (50 - 60%). Once the branches of the weed “snap” when you bend them, you are typically ready to trim and cure. Curing is done over a long period of time (if you can hold off! Hard sometimes.), absolute minimum is two weeks.

It allows all the chlorophyll to “off gas” and for the scent and flavor fully develop.

I personally cure in Grove Bags, I never used the Mason Jar method, but growers here use both.

That’s a beautiful plant! Good luck with her.

Here’s a link to the Grove Bag thread.

Well the question I have is what did you do?
Maybe your process was just fine.
If you want to improve it we need to know what it was.

I was stunned at how big the XL is… I think I’ll love it, but I have to find somewhere to keep it. So, I’ve been using a tent as a drying chamber.

Grove bags are designed to cure your weed. More info than required here:

Best place to buy grove bags – at a reasonable price?

Good product. Thats what I use also.

I think you can only get them online from the manufacturer.

It does fold up nicely for storage, however.

I put a link to a thread about the Grove bags above. They are a “burpless” alternative to Mason jars and seem to do a really good job.

I had bought the smaller one, and would have been better off with the larger. Hang it up in your tent! It draws a light airflow through it when it’s plugged in.

I figured I’m just growing for me, so wouldn’t need that much room. Eh, yeah I was a bit wrong with that. But my grow was polite enough to come in staggered, so it is working out for the moment.

I was lucky enough to read a couple of reviews that said they loved the regular, but wished they had opted for the XL. So I just started with the XL.

Wanna trade? :sunglasses: I have such a strange set up. I don’t grow in tents, but in a room we built. So, the room is too warm and not humid enough. So, I did put one tent in just for drying. Because I don’t live in a house – but a tiny house – there is no closet, garage or basement for hanging.
