Drying rates what's best

So let’s look at some of the advice on the web from some of the best company’s.

If you actually liked at the pics you would see that almost every dry rate is different I’m starting to think drying is more about your actually plant size rather then ball park number for an example

If you have a small plant you probably want to reach the peak of the humidity range because the plant is smaller and will dry out much quicker if your plant is bigger you can adjust to middle or bottom of the humidity range because with bigger buds stems leaves etc it will naturally dry slower. Is my logic off here? I want a nice slow dry about 10 or more days.

I don’t think anything’s of in your logic. Average an the info together. I wouldn’t want those lower humidity ranges… I try to keep 60% unless it took too long to dry out, then I’d lower it after the first week personally.

Seven to 10 days at ~70F and 60% RH is what I shoot for.

Okay cool what about the cure I’m planning on throwing a boveda pack 62 percent 2 way right in the jar after the dry I herd this is bad to do immediately during the cure?

Some complain that using Boveda packs during the cure negatively affects smell and taste. I’ve never cured with Boveda packs. If humidity is too high in the jar, then I will burp the jars more often until humidity comes down. If humidity is too low, then I will add a few drops of water in the jar.

Even when the jars are at good humidity do you still burp twice a day the first 2 days then once a day for the first week and then once a week from there on out. Also how long do you burp for if levels are good some sites say 3 minutes others say a half hour?

I usually burp for 15 to 30 minutes a day, every day for 2 weeks. Three times a week for weeks 3 and 4. They stay sealed and go to long term storage after a month.

I expect every grower does it a little different, but pretty much everyone burps at least daily for the 1st 2 weeks.

How about Fridge drying I have one right downstairs with my tent. I have set it up and run it and the temp’s and humidity seem to be good. We put our 1st branch in today.

Have you heard of “Grove Bags” ?? There is an ongoing discussion in this same forum. Many people are doing side by side tests with grove bags v.s. Mason jar cures. I just ordered myself some but I personally have not heard anything negative about them. From what I have read not only do they seem to cure the buds quicker, it also completely eliminates the need for burping as long as your RF and temps are good when you close the bag. Smell proof as well! Just something to consider!

Use Grove bags. I put my 1st partial harvest into grove bags just last month, so far the bags are doing exactly what they are suppose to do. I am also very happy as are all of the folks that I have read about.

I have a grovebag actually a seed company threw it in there for free never paid much attention to it really. So after drying you just throw it into the bag don’t burp it and it’s suppose to make the bud better as if you cured it traditionally?

Correct! Is it an actual name brand grove bag? Google search “Grove Bag” and look through their website. Fairly inexpensive, and looks similar to the black plastic bags from dispensaries.

Yea I’ll have to check mine out later but I think they gave me lb bag it’s a grove bag for sure I know that. I won’t have anything close to lb maybe 2 or 3 ounces I wonder if that will effect things if I throw em in there

Yes, get Grove Bags! They really are worth it.

When can you put them into the grove bags? Say I do a partial harvest and I hang them to dry @60% rh… how many days till u can drop them into the bags?
