Ok so i just cut down some of my girls after 5 days of drying in the tent and put them into jars the humidity is at 50 I’m thinking they were very dry… I had exhaust fan running a small fan for air circulation and the dehumidifier kept temperature around 16 Celsius and humidity 50 to 55 I’m thinking they dried too fast
I like to get them in the jars in the high 60’s RH and slowly bring them down to 60-62 over the course of a couple weeks by opening the jars for 10-15 minutes a day.
Bring the humidity up by using a couple fresh leaves per jar. If no leaves, I’ve used like 2-3 inch squares of paper towel dipped in RO water and wrung out and placed in the jars, the dry buds will suck up the humidity in a few hours.
Great thanks I’ll try that
I always try to save some leafs at the end for that purpose just seems like a natural way to do it instead of using the packs. Has worked great for me.
Yeah I put some leaves in earlier seems to be doing a trick was worried I had dried them too fast they look very dry I’m hoping they look better once cured
I prefer the opposite, bring them up from the drier side using leaves or Boveda packs. Less chance of mould that way
It’s amazing in one day the results. when you open the jar you will see the moisture sucked out of the leaf. And by feeling the buds you can see at that point you’re headed in the right direction. Depending on what my hydrometer reads that I have placed in the jar .I may add another green leaf and remove the dry leaf. Also this practice does not alter the taste or smell of your product . good luck
Yea makes sense
Yep, leaves are the best, nice thing about a perpetual grow, I always have leaves.
Same here keeps me busy lol
