Will I be okay to dry at 55⁰ with ~50% humidity? I know the recommendation of 60/60, but that’s not going to be achievable.
Thank you for any insight.

It sounds like it is what it is, so be it, do what ya can that’s all one really can do. You could try to place wet towels in front of a fan if a humidifier is not available. I see many use refrigerators now to dry.
You’re definitely good with those numbers.
That’s a badaxx bud. Good job!
That’s some supa dupa nice looking buds ya got there. I’ll tell ya what … You can send me some and I’ll tell ya if you dried it right. My address is … ![]()
Like someone else said you can only do with what you have to work with . I think that maybe ok but I would think at that temp it could use a bit more humidity? I’m still new and just harvested my first grow . I was sweating the dry cure process especially being in a small apartment with a low 35 humidity. I thought to myself screw all of the worrying, guessing, and chasing after certain temps/humidity levels and bought the cannatrol cool cure machine . Is expensive but if your growing nice bud like that it will be worthwhile and pay itself off in no time. ![]()
I’ll check it out. Thank you.
Looks like I hit 62 degrees and went to 45% mid day yesterday. I left some leaves so hopefully it makes at least 7 days before drying.
I hear allot of people saying for situations like this is it can still turn out pretty good with a few weeks of proper curing. The big thing you want to watch for is it over drying though .
I have one plant that died crispy dry on me.
I just checked the buds with a moisture meter and some are around 8.1 and some around 12. The stems are around 15 to 18. Should I go ahead and clean them up and drop them into my Grove Bag? Today is day 8 of drying.
I would take anything under 12 out for sure. Maybe even rehydrate the 8 ?
How do you rehydrate them?
If you have a few fresh leaves you can stick them in the jar/bag you’re curing in to reconstitue the moisture. Orange peel works also, or a small piece of damp paper towel
Thank you!
Hate to bother you again. I’m trimming now and these buds definitely handle like they are moist. I’m jamming my moisture meter in each bud and non above 10%. Should they feel kind of moist at 10%? Trust the meter or trust my reservations?
I throw them in a plastic tote with a hydrometer and leave them for an hour or two, then check the reading. I like to start trimming while still kinda on the wet side, buds seem to dry out some more while I’m getting everything trimmed. Happy harvests growmie!
All done finally. It definitely dried while trimming. So, hopefully all is fine and I dropped in a hydrometer. Let’s see if the Grove Bag does what it says it can do. Just shy of 10 ounces on the one plant. Crazy!
