Drooping plant. I dont know why. DWC

The plant on the right looking sad yesterday morning. Checked ph and ec. Both plants giving me similar readings. Left tent open for a few hours and it seemed fine last night. This morning i found this in second pic. Checked my ec and ph, again very similar. I dont see the cause unless it was airflow? Swapped plants around and tent open with fans on. I had this happen beginning of the year, lost 1 of 2 just like this. 2nd was good harvest, 3z, autoflower. Ive since upgraded to marshydro dwc from my homemade dwc, new 250w led panel, and new taller tent to grow photos. Clones went into dwc on oct 1. Noting the sad plant always seemed a few days behind the other, but i never saw a problem before this.

Any issues with air pump or stone in this bucket? If that looks good check solution temp and to see how big of gap you have from bottom of stem to top of solution.

Im with @dbrn32, check up on air stones, pinched line, temps, etc. first. How do the roots look. Any browning, pinking, or slime?

Stones are new, came with the 2 bucket marshydro dwc system, no pinched lines. Everything is new, everything is exactly the same in both buckets with the exception of the wilting. Just woke up and checked ph and ec, both buckets reading nearly the same. Heres a few pics i just took.

Wondering if there was some kind of temp swing or something I notice that ones near a duct and a vent

Room temp is 78, solution is 77. Swapping plants around did not help. I now highly doubt it being airflow issue

Other one probably bullied her then!

Also, its only filtered air from the room through that duct

It doesnt appear that im gonna figure it out in time to save it, if at all, but the good news is that ill be able to focus on the 1 plant and have plenty of room to go big now. It seems so random, i just dont know what it is causing it.

Rez temp is a little concerning :green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

Right now im at 3 gallons max, both buckets. I never let it go below 2 gallons. Next change is in a few days, likely drop down to 2 gallons. I dont know really. I ran my homemade bucket system for a year before upgrading to these recently. Its the 1st run in these new buckets. Im really not sure when exactly or how much to drop solution water levels, but i mean looking at my past grows and looking at the 1 healthy plant, i gotta be in the ballpark?

I’m far from experienced but I have found that running negative pressure on my tent helped combat the higher temps. I run my fan exhausting on high from the top with the bottom flaps open

Might be more concerning to me except ive grown successfully in slightly higher temps, and its not affecting the other plant. I would think if that was a problem it would show in both plants.

Ive always blown in filtered air and let heat exhaust out the top. This isnt anything new in the last few days since the drooping started. As i have stated, no recent changes, both dwc’s readings are similar, nothing out of the ordinary. If it’s happening to one, it should be happening to both. It just seems like a random thing to me. I said earlier that the same exact thing happened on my last run at the beginning of the year, in my homemade dwc setup. Lost 1 auto but the other auto finished nicely with 3z.

This is high for DWC and needs to be below 72, ideally below 70. Dissolved O2 decreases as temperature increases in water. I think your plant is drowning. Decrease the rez temps, increase the O2, and get this girl back :hugs:
Your other plant looks to have a much healthier root ball and is likely handling it better.

As i mentioned earlier, this happened once before, and i couldn’t figure it out then either. Someone suggested the same, lower water temp. I froze several 32 oz water bottles and swapped them out every so often, but it didnt help. At this point i have no other ideas to implement so im gonna try that again. I just iced that bucket and put water bottles in the freezer. Ill keep icing it and monitoring temps throughout the day and see if it helps.

I dont have what i consider high temps in my tent. Ive done well between 76-82, and im not saying cooler temps wouldn’t help. Im just saying ive done several grows theoughout last year and this is only the 2nd time ive had this seemingly exact same scenario .

Pythium (root rott) is usually creeping in under these conditions too, keep a close eye.

This is pretty high for dwc. Should be like 68⁰. Are you using any beneficial bacteria?
