Thanks for responding monkman.
This is what I have done today. I felt like I had to do something to not kill these babies.
The promix media is still dark and very moist so I believe it is an overwater issue. I had thought maybe nute burn but roots are so moist the plant probably isn’t feeding. Soooo
Right or wrong here is what I did ALL afternoon.
I broke plants down into 3 test groups based on color of the cotyldon ? Leaves.
Batch 1 5pkants the cots are completely yellow
I repotted with fresh DRY promix bh into clear solo cup to insert into a red cup
Added very little 1/2 strength Bergmans and a little Calmag at 1/2 strength also
Batch 2 7 plants. The cots show some yellow. For these I also repotted and added a little cal mag and even less of the Nutes
Batch 3. 4 plants. Cots still green Repotted and only added ph’d water.
I only added enough liquid to dampen top of media and also a squirt where roots ended up.
All the roots appeared well established and most reached bottom of cup. I was very pleased to see the roots look so good when the top of the plant looks so poorly
Water ph 6.1
Nutes. Ph 5.7.
Ppm. 262
Calmag. Ph 6.0
Ppm 285.
Currently I turned in my CHEAP blurple 2000 watt light. Pulls 46 watts at wall
I’m sure no light burn from this.
So now I kick back and wait right.
My wife says I can’t sleep in the grow room with my babies
All the media I pulled out was very moist so I think I feel good about this.
Pic of the roots
The earlier pics of plants are about the same as today
Monday 7/15
This morn gave em 2 squirts at base ph water. Sprayed domes. At 5 pm domes were still moist and media barely damp at base of plant. Took domes off for an hour and media dried out. So put some holes in domes to breathe
I think my babies are lookin better and most all of them have new growth with green leaves.
Will trim dead leaves off when they are totally done
Will attempt to paste support ticket on here
Light currently. Bestva 3000w have it switched on Veg. (At wall Max 473 w… on veg 225 w)
Temps. 73-80 f Ambient temp will hit 100 this week
RH. 50-80. Varies
Ventilation. 6inch (450+ cfm) exhaust fan blowing in lower openings
AC. Yes
CO 2 No
Pertinent info.
7/6. I tried to kill em all. Had a major brain hemorrhage and water to runoff
7/9 noticed leaves curling upwards
7/10. Leaves start yellowing
7/11 and 7/12 Leaves look bad getting worried.
7/13. As I said in earlier post. I HAD to do something. Media was still very damp
Repotted into solos with dry fresh promix.
And put domes on them
Additional info in previous post.
So today in am 2 squirts at base
Right now I see improvement and new growth that is green I know the damaged leaves won’t come back but I’m hoping to save these babies.
Any comments or ?? Is welcome
I tossed the 3 biggest outside plants I had away and I lost a few seedlings to stretch cause of no light but I think I’m sorted out for now…till I step on them tonight or something dumb like I’m prone to lol
All plants appear to be showing recovery from my attempted murder. Room temp seems stable even approaching 100 f outside.
Tried 3 different approaches to feed and water since I have the test groups. I hopefully can learn with this grow
An old dog has to learn new tricks
Hoping for more improvement in the morning
Peace
Whether these babies live or not there will be a next grow. I know I will need more lighting.
I have been looking at the HLG 550 and 600 V2 Rspec and leaning toward the 600 for a 5x5 tent and possibly a second for my remaining space 7x8 which at least 5x5 will be useable.
Any advice on this. I would rather do this with 2 + LED lights than a bunch of them
Is there a better way ?? @dbrn32
Well 4 days have passed. My outdoor plants are well.
My little girls inside seem to be in recovery still. They have had a rough 25 days. I do see new green growing and they look happier. I have trimmed a lot of the dead stuff off. But some leaves haven’t finished dying and some I can’t get to. I have corrected my watering methods and hope to move on.
They are fems and not AF so I’m hoping they will still have a decent grow.
Any thoughts
When I repotted them into dry promix after I tried to kill them I planted them deeper. They have stretched a little more and media has settled some. I moved the light down a couple more inches. Due to the problems I’ve had I haven’t been able to get my led dialed in on height.
But they are growing
Since you moved light down they should stop stretching so much and they’ll take off. I’m really bad about keeping my seedlings very close to a florescent light and let them stay short and grow squatty but I have to be careful or they get root bound to my peat pots. I don’t know if it’s the right way but I do it cause it works for me, when I put last ones into 1 gal bucket I had more roots than plant. Catch you later
Ok all looks good today. New green growing
Lowered the light a couple more inches.
Can see some roots showing a little bit at bottom and sides on a couple
Overall they are looking happy and healthy.
Which is great because my quantum boards showed up today.
Hope to have at least one in tent soon
Happy growing y’all.
Yea I had to open the box and touch em a bit lol.
I got 2 of the HLG 320 xl v2 Rspec for the 5x5 tent and by the time these plants get bigger I will need more for the remaining space about 8x7 but not sure how much I can use and still move around. If ( and that’s a big if) I can manage not to kill these little ladies I may have to put some outside
More will be revealed
