@Majiktoker can you just take a look at that seedling? I’m thinking @Matthew420 is good on the humidity dome. but just thought you could look at the pics.
Absolutely @bob31
You shouldn’t be using this either you should only be misting with ph water and they should be At 68 degrees for root zone and 72 for canopy also should have 65-70% humidity it is likely they are reacting negatively with the nutrient solution that’s high phosphorus for a seedling
thanks @Majiktoker I wasn’t sure about the solution and soil less and all so I thought I’d have you put your eyeball on it.
Yea my opinion every thing between @Matthew420 and i that has been shared he should be able to rebound
@Macadon - Thanks for the reply! I now have the stronger of the two seedlings covered by the bottom half of a 20oz. spring water bottle. I poked 8 holes in the “dome” using a standard framing nail. I only transplanted the smaller of the twins to put her in her own Rapid Rooter plug… unfortunately though, she didn’t make it. moment of silence ![]()
The seedling pictured above is the stronger of the two. She has not been transplanted. She is in the same Rapid Rooter plug she was germed in. There shouldn’t be any root damage since she was never removed from the plug… only the smaller twin was removed which I did very carefully using a small pair if tweazers that came with the plant care kit I use with my succulents… which I also germed from seed about 3 months ago and are all doing very well.
@bob31 and @Majiktoker - Thanks for taking a look! I really appreciate your input. I have taken the advice of @Matthew420 and added a humidity dome (using the bottom half of a clear plastic 20 oz. spring water bottle, which I poked 8 nail size holes in). I will also stop using the cloning solution and only water with pH 5.8 water as needed. Additionally, I will lower the temps by removing 1 or 2 of the light bulbs. Since I’m down to 1 seedling now, I don’t think I need all 92w. Thinking 2 x 23w (46w total) of 6500k CFLs will be enough. Would you agree?
Your welcome @GrowManFitz I’ll be following good luck😉
Sounds good to me, but i’m not that solid on the cfl’s
As long as you have 25-50 Watts per square foot you should be fine
Thanks again! Much obliged.
@Matthew420 @bob31 @Macadon @Majiktoker
Just wanted to thank you guys again. It looks like this seedling may pull through! Yesterday she was very delicate and one of the serrated leaves actually broke in half while I was putting the done on. She is looking much better today though… even with half a leaf missing. I will post some updated pictures when I get home later today.
Thanks again! You guys are awesome!!! So glad I stumbled upon ILGM!
Awesome man! I hope they pull thru for you! Sounds like they will.
Awesome man, best of luck keep us posted ill be watching
Did they pull through @GrowManFitz ?
@deb1 @bob31 @Hawkeye_diesel @Macadon @garrigan62
I’m sorry to say, the Bubblegum Twins did not pull through. ![]()
I have 2 more that I just sowed in Rapid Rooter plugs, after soaking in room temperature water for 30 hours. Both seeds sank and one had a tap root showing. The other did not, but neither did the twins when I sowed their seed.
No nutes this time. Also will pay more attention to watering frequency so I don’t over water. Of course I don’t want to go too far in the other direction and not water enough. Will use a humidity dome this time as well.
Will start a new grow blog when they sprout.
Man sorry for your loss😞 it was a long shot with them being so close but at least you got more seeds to start! Please@ me so I can follow your new babies @GrowManFitz
Bugger, i was hoping they would make it
Growing is a learning experiance we all go through and learn.
Ans it sounds like from what i read that you just learned something today.
Best of luck with your next grow
Will
Tag me when you start the new ones! This grow will be better! Post a grow journal and we will work with you as closely as you want!
