Spring is around the corner. Time for another indoor start/outdoor end grow. This time we are going to tackle Spring a little aggressively, growing 9 different strains and 22 total girls.
The Terrible 22
2 x AK47 (Fem)
2 x Amnesia Haze (Auto)
2 x Blueberry (Auto)
2 x Bubblegum (Fem)
2 x California Dream (Fem)
2 x Gold Leaf (Fem)
2 x Northern Lights (Auto)
4 x Super Silver Haze (Fem)
4 x White Widow (Auto)
First I soaked all of the seeds over night (in the dark) about 12 to up 24 hours in water.
Sometime this evening they all will be put in wet paper towels for 12-48 of darkness until I see root tails. I tend to get everything ready in advance so things go smoother.
Yup I am doing 12 outdoor in 15 gallon pots
22 is nuts but you got some great strong strains there
I did the blueberry and northern lights autos first grow
But have all fems this year. And some of the same ones you are growing
I will try and remember to tag ya in its gonna be a lot of fun alot of hard work too!!
Happy growing dude
Nah @Daddy , trimmings the fun part, lol! I’m dreading the multiple 5 gallon buckets of water I’m going to be hauling daily (I haul two at a time). I do that alone as my partner’s arms would fall off hauling one at a time.
In regards to the trimming, I tend to clean up each throughout the grow so by the time they are ready to harvest, it’s a matter of minimal trimming and plopping into a hand crank driven bud trimmer. I can usually trim with my partner and it takes about an hour and a half per plant. Of course they won’t all come down at the same time.
Man! If I had more room I’d be right there with you. I simply don’t have the yard to do any kind of a grow. My issue is enough sunlight for a full day. Maybe when we move to Colorado…
You’ll love the GL; it’s an incredibly prolific strain. Take a chair and whip with you later in the summer when it’s feeding time lol.
@Sasquatch I have to write stuff down. Only way to keep track. That and I label everything to keep track of feeding etc. I really enjoy growing so my attention is locked on. Also life is short, I’ve only been growing for 2 years (this is year 3 woo hoo)and I feel like I’ve missed out on growing my whole life. If I waited for someone else to tell me it’s “ok” i’d probably be long gone and dust by then. I bet if you set your mind to it you could do it.
@Myfriendis410 Thanks friend, I’m sure you and many others in the Garden have influenced me to branch out to GL. I hope to be enjoying it at the end.
Oh I have no doubt I could. I have plenty of room. But, I grow in my front yard (back yard goes straight up a mountain). And I’ll soon get the flower garden cranked up along with the veggie garden. My plants hide in plain site you might say. I like to read about these big grows… Y’all carry on, I’ll be watching
I’m just being a nervous ninny. I wish I could find a good book solely on growing autos in soil outdoor. At the cost of seeds and materials on my budget, I can’t afford to make many mistakes … but, nothing ventured nothing gained
I agree and practice it, plain sight has always been my way. I wish I didn’t have to, hell I’d have them in rows. I’m glad you took “I bet you could” well. Sometimes I worry folks will get offended by the words I’ve chosen. I really meant you could do it. @SmoknGranny You have a point about worrying, and I do worry but I’d worry without growing too.
I’m never offended by you And once I get my feet wet I may surprise myself
AND knowing you all will have my back and hold my hand is awesome! I’m so looking forward to yours & others posts as I learn something every day. Plus I’m sure I will get to see more of a certain pooch frolicking
Things are going well. Rarely do I have seeds sprouting roots from just soaking alone. Tonight, one of the 22 (to be revealed tomorrow) had a root tail after roughly 24 hours of just soaking alone. The rest of the bunch are tucked away in damp paper towels in darkest.
