Scrogging multiple strains:
Hey guys me again!…
Do you think I’m ready to acting?… I wanna flip to flowerwithin the next ten days… and if so at what height(plants are dif sizes obviously I have sixteen plants 14 dif strains

When growing a SCROG it is important to get all the plants to the same height before the flip. (train, top, supercrop). As you mention, they plants will nearly double in volume when the flip happens…so both vertical and horizontal space is an issue.
You have a lot of plants…how big of a space are you working with? I usually do 4 plants in a 4 x 4 tent and it is packed by the end of flowering.

Another consideration is going to be the possible large variation in stretch. We scrog multiple strains together and it’s pretty complicated to get right. Specially if it’s all from seed you don’t really know what they will do. We’ve done up to 18 diff plants under a net and it was a pain in the a$$. we’ve had to boost plants (under a net) by up to 2 feet. Most nets/spaces will be too restrictive for that.
Lots of planning. N almost always a sacrifice yield somewhere.
That is part I struggle with trying to get enough space after the flower stretch. When they to stretch over double the hight.
I never exceed 3 in a 4x4. But I also dont do much training and hydro equals a packed tent.

I have a couple of observations:
Never put more than one plant in the SCROG. This allows for different harvest times as well as access in the event of disease or even wanting to simply defol the plant.
Some plants lend themselves to the use of a SCROG and some don’t. Longer node, bigger plants really benefit. Short, bushy phenos not so much.
Topping and FIM’ing is ideal for a screen. FIM’ing done right will produce four tops which can be run to the diagonal corners of the screen and filled in as you go.
I like rectangular vs square cells simply because it’s easier to thread through.
Filling the screen should be mostly or completely accomplished prior to flipping. Once in flower the plants harden off and become impossible to train.
Strip the bottom third of the plant completely.
If running LED’s, slam the lights down close to take full advantage of the flat canopy.
I mount the SCROG to the pot so I can lift the whole thing out for maintenance. Here’s my current one just showing buttons:
You can keep tucking for a couple of weeks. BTW that plant is 7 weeks old, screen measures 22 X 36".
