I have a spider might problem in my smal 6’ X 8’ greenhouse. Reading all I can to prepare for eradication of these little monsters.
Anyone have experience with Doktor Doom fogger?

I have never heard of it being used in a cannabis grow. I would check the ingredients to ensure that it is safe for human consumption. Many growers instead use products like diatomaceous earth or Capt Jack’s Deadbug, both of which are safe to use during flowering and effective.
Critters such as spider mites are often a symptom of overwatering.
I’m looking for a thorough and safe way to kill’em all so I wondered. DD advertises safe for all flowers, fruits, and vegetables but I wonder how harsh it is on buds. Could it alter the taste or anything? My greenhouse is small but has six inches of pea gravel as the floor. No telling what may be living in that.
I have Jack’s and n the way - had to order it. But I think I have a hand on the little buggers on the plants. Sprayed with H2o2 yesterday and this morning and can’t see any bugs on any plant.
@T-ray if you have mite problems in an enclosed area you should try buying some lady bugs off of Amazon or another source rather than fogging everything.
I would suggest not to use the Fogger it contains pyrethrins which when in flower and smoked can give a numbing sensation and it’s probably not safe for consumption. Just some food for thought.
Which do you think are more effective?
For me, I have a time issue. They are in everything - I have 6 tomato plants in there with the girls.
I replied in the other thread before reading this one. I don’t want to hurt my flowers man so I will abandon the fog plan.
I’m just going to buy both. Can’t hurt anything but my wallet.
I would buy both just in case, worst comes to worse you spent 60$ but I feel it’s your safest option other than the peroxide spray like I said those pyrethrins are absolutely no good sprayed on flower
I second that, pyrethrins are safe on food to eat, because we wash them off in the sink before we eat them. Like fruits and vegetables and lettuce. But something you’re gonna smoke. I don’t believe it is safe ingestion through combustion with everything that I have ever read. I would definitely not want to smoke buds that have been hit with pyrethrins. Definitely chance of making yourself sick. You don’t smoke the veggies.
Long-term, to help resolve bugs in your greenhouse, you could buy a bunch of chrysanthemum flower plants. They’re very cold, hardy, they’re very heat Hardy, and the flowers are beautiful. The bonus is this is the plant that produces pyrethrins. Just having them in your greenhouse will repel a lot of bugs…
also, I couldn’t agree more that if you keep having the same problem in your greenhouse, maybe it’s time to try predatory pest management… it might get more bang for your buck and a population of predatory bugs on patrol all the time.
@noddykitty1 That’s a great idea on the other flowers. Think I’ll swing by a nursery this evening to get some
Pyrethrin shouldn’t be used during flower. Purecrop1 is safe and can be used up until harvest. It kills spider mites and the plants like it. You can add captian jacks dead bug and Monterey BT to it. I had a spider mite infestation in my greenhouse a couple grows ago that it got rid of. I used it last year as a preventive in the same greenhouse and never saw a single spider mite. I also sometimes alternate between Purecrop1 and Lost coast plant therepy. This year dealing with russet mites on some clones. They are way way worse and harder to get rid of. By the time you know they are there the damage has been done. They dont make webs and can only be seen with a magnifier. I used pyrethrin foggers on them and they didn’t skip a beet. Purecrop1 has knoked them down pretty good. Ill probably still have to keep spraying every other day for the rest of the outdoor season.
I use Dr. Doom before i use my grow room the first time and after ever grow.i repeathace not seen a mite in years…
Hopefully the predators work out for you. Also hope you haven’t sprayed any pesticides in there that will kill them.
Nothing is sprayed on buds that are smoked here. No telling what smoking that stuff will do to you. They say it’s safe but do we really know it is.
The furthest I go is no pest strips. The way I understand it is that it fully disipates away. I bought bug zappers in hopes of not ever using those again. Most I generally get is gnats though.
