Anyone have a plant grow super tight like this? Had a previous post about this one taking awhile, but once she had roots down she seemed to take off. Just in a weird way? She went in soil on Christmas, can’t exactly remember when I seen the cotyledons probably around the 27th or 28th. It’s a purple lemonade photo, thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!
Give this a read. Might be applicable?
thanks, just so odd the other plant is doing great transplanted and topped it and it exploded and this one just seems odd in every way hahah!
Says the strain is Indica dominant. That is possibly part of it with indi’s being bushier than sativas. Also possible genetics. They’re like us and come in all sizes. The term “late bloomer” is based in plants. Looks like good color. I wouldn’t worry unless it’s show actual stressed characteristics.
The split nature of hybrids is the reason I pop more than needed and cull the weirdoes.
I can only grow 2 plants so a lost or slow plant hurts the grow. I have a very even light pattern and enviroment dialed in so if one is a dwarf and another is a stretchy it’s not me it’s genetics.
I learned this as a new grower following a guy on another blog. He picks only the winners due to his pushing every aspect to the high end. I do not need super genetics and I am not ready to push any aspects but my current grow I got to choose from 3 plants to flower 2. One was a bushy lagger 3 inches smaller that the other 2.
A seed is about 7 bucks. Cheapest thing in the grow tent are 2 wasted seeds. Most expensive is having a plant fail and have to buy dispensary weed.
I would take the lower first leaves off and lower light power a bit to force a stretch. Nothing stressfull. Auto. Once going vertical she will fill out nicely. Just my thoughts. Little tweaks work.
I would just make sure your in your veg ppfd range and not worry about it. I think as she grows up a bit things will stretch out. Mine are doing the same. I’m growing sativa blue dream. I have one that’s doing great though. The Indica GDP is a funky one to. Our plants are about the same age. I transplanted mine on the 7th. You have a journal? Check out mine if you’d like.
Thank you I will pop the leaves and see what happens, I did lower light intensity a couple days ago because i thought the tight spacing might of been from too much light
