Do you see mould ?! (Urgent)

Thank you all for the replies and help @kellydans @outdooring @Mark0427 @Oldguy i trimmed the bud and ran over to the nearest pharmacy to get some hydrogen peroxyde, he assumed i needed it to get mould off wood, I said yes after a short sus pause. For all you curious heads here are the nugs after and before i dipped them in a cup of h2o2 for 1-2 min each in that order. (Pic 7 is the pre h2o2 dip seperator for the pics)

I might be biased but id say that did the trick. By eye i could clearly see stuff degrade off the bud when i swirled it in there and upon taking out, first it looked as if the bud had a slight slimy layer but as i dried it with paper towels all, or most of, the mould seemed to be gone. Its really noticeable on the stem. im gonna dry them now and if they dont get back to mouldy probably smoke them by the end of the week !

The bud wash was recommended for the rest of the harvest I think  that stuff is destined for anything but consumption… It would go in my compost if i had one…

I dont have a compost, but im a young fool with what i think are healthy lungs, a strong immune system, and a great national Healthcare program. Now that i peroxyded the crap out of the mold ill be willing to fool around, if i had ounces of other cannabis i wouldnt but this harvest is sort of all ive got haha

I would just like to add if you continue to grow in the same space I would clean an wipe down to get rid of any mold spores. Good luck my friend !

Buggeration, sorry for the late arrival . Yep that looks like mould. Tease the bud apart as well and she will look blackish on the inside. You can sometimes smell ammonia as well

Definitely not, you will do yourself a mischief doing that :man_facepalming:. The guys are all over this and again apologies for turning up late

It definitely looks suspect. Like @kellydans said, pul it apart gently and look at it closely. If it is, you can just remove that portion AND a portion surround that area. Just keep a close eye out on the other plants… it means you probably had a high humidity problem and it may be isolated but it may not be.

Make sure you do a bud wash before you dry it.

EDIT: Sorry I was late - I was working, but looks like everyone has you covered.

Upon waking up i decided maybe drying the moldy bud would just make the mold eat it before I can even smoke it, so i decided to make cannabutter with it ! The heat will kill the spores during baking and, being a frenchman that enjoys moldy cheese like bleu, im not reallt scared of some moldy plant once cooked in some butter. Thanks again for all your help !!

not sure if the spores die… but the mycelium does…

them spores are surely less worry in your stomach than in your lungs…

That is bitritus… you have humidity issues? Get it out if there asap bag and discard it will spread like wild fire… bleach and peroxide your grow tent before you start anything new DO NOT consume anything near the mold (bud rot) check all other buds

I agree with @fano_man… it can’t be worth it… at all.

Well i did it anyways ! And the cannabutter turned out pretty well i think. You see the problem was i dont have an oven in my appartment, its France that how it goes here. Anyways i made it happen and tested it a tiny bit (taste good and a nice body high for a while). Idk if anyone cares about the details but mold doesnt really scare me that much after doing some reading, as long as you kill it. Myth busted ?

No … you can smoke it you can eat it you can snort it… dosent mean it s healthy… you can eat dog poop if you want … you should move around it atleast if you dont know much about it… it’s a fungus and can spread like wild fire… even though botritus is actually sprayed on grapes for a “Nobel rot” it’s not recommended to consume … ecspeically in canabis… if your not thoroughly inspecting and removing the fungus majority you could have health effects from it… not to sure if its 1 and done or if its lots of exposeure… I wouldn’t chance it … it will always rob your buds of a good taste and smell when smokijg… once you get mold… that’s pretty much it your gonna be stuck with a musty wet wood ammonia like smell that wont go away and tastes pretty similar… I have had a bunch of it
